It is a highly inadvisable place for those who care about their health. It seems that a clique of arrogant, incompetent and not at all professional people operates inside. The last thing they care about is your health. Every few months they change the rules for making an appointment without notifying anyone, they never answer the phone, you can be on hold for an hour or more after which they put the phone down. When they happen to answer the phone they don't let you talk, and instead of just booking the appointment with the doctor they are very bureaucratic and want to know the details of your problem without respecting your privacy and without having the medical skills. Terrible experience, I couldn't make the appointment with the doctor. I will definitely change my doctor and also the structure. This Health Center at Brandon street in Leicester is so inefficient and grotesque that it does not deserve the name of Health Centre, as it does not do its job and does not treat sick people with respect and compassion. A terrible place and absolutely to be avoided. Never seen anything like it.
Would give it 0 stars if i could.
Never answers the phone - Has particular times you have to call to book appointments - they tend to scare patients - waste of mental energy and time - no proper care, you are just another person on the list. Go elsewhere, I.e Private/different surgery/abroad much more faster and proper care taken there
The receptionist at the 1st level refused to register me on the grounds of not having proof of address or ID documentation despite the fact that the NHS website requires a GP practice to register anyone without said documents. The lady then claimed that it is protocol, what protocol? The NHS guidelines apply to all NHS practices that aren't privatised so that is a load of dribble and her colleague Ms Anita came to repeat the same message.
It is despicable that this GP practice is spreading misinformation, further more they refused to provide me with a written refusal which is REQUIRED to be provided within 14 days of refusal as outlined on the NHS website: "If a GP surgery refuses to register you, they must write to you within 14 days explaining why."
The staff has some serious lack of training that needs to be addressed, they are playing with people's lives and health and that's unacceptable.
I am going to be escalating this complaint because this is unacceptable!
The worse practice I’ve ever encountered. They don’t pick up the phone. They don’t have any appointments available. When you call they tell you to call at or before 8am for an appointment. Whenever I call 20 minutes before 8 the line rings and I am told that I’m in a queue. After waiting 30 minutes they hung up my phone. After that when I called 4 times they would not pick up. Clearly a lack of structure and management here to treat patients deserving of vital medical care. Would not recommend anyone joins here as a patient. Something needs to be done about this practice because it’s unacceptable.
Today, my father and I visited the hub as directed by 111. My father was called by the GP and we walked to the room. However, I was immediately stopped by the GP and told to wait in the waiting area. I responded my father is hard of hearing, I was told " I always see deaf patients so it'd OK,please wait in the area. I did as instructed. 2 mins into my father consultation I was called into the room by the GP. He asked me a series of questions and I answered accordingly. My father has just returned from India and needed insulin. I was told to take his insulin pen to the pharmacy to identify the make of the medication. I was worried about pharmacy closing so was rushing, the GP said stop, you are making me anxious and rolled his eyes at me. I was not happy at all. Terrible service and extremely unprofessional.
We have and appointed at 1110on 5jan 2024.
We arrived in time, but we r waiting for 50mint.no doctor have arrived, while we speak on reception saying doctor is been running late.so why they have book for thos time of doctors is been not available..
This is not my GP but after not receiving a call back from 111 when I was desperately in need, I went to this place during their out of hours service and the receptionist was so lovely. She understood my situation and managed to get me a doctor despite not having an appointment. I was then seen and given antibiotics. I would like to thank the lovely lady who was in the reception around 12:30pm on 20 November 2022.
I understand many people have left negative reviews but I don’t think this is a reflection of all the staff there…there are some amazing staff there such as Nashira. She was a wonderful lady to speak to on the phone and in person. She has great customer skills that made me feel at ease visiting a doctor in person after years!
Many thanks to her.
