Visited this lovely bistro for tea today and it is the most enjoyable visit we've had so far in Wales. This small tea room is run by a lovely couple who made the tastiest tea and welsh fruit loaves. The place doubles up as an antiques shop where they sell old China, etc. We were pretty happy and ended up buying a few 150+ year old plates to take home. I'd visit them anytime and recommend a visit to anyone.
I came here with my boyfriend for a short break, honestly I was just really overwhelmed by the place. The place has so much history- looking at the photos on the wall showing how the couple who own it made it into what it is. It’s a gorgeous wee place with so much character. We loved the owners, the service was great and the food was amazing. I’d love to be able to go back some day :)
Don't be deceived by the appearance of this place. It is packed with character inside, the bar area is a little snook and a cosy place to have pre-dinner drinks. It's a little place home from home and the food is great quality and freshly cooked with plenty of variety too. The gentleman - I don't want to call him a waiter as he more like a host and he was lovely, very welcoming and a great sense of humour. He works so hard going up and down those stairs! The stuffed mushrooms were delicious as was the steak and ale pie with a proper homemade shortcrust lid. Good honest home cooking. We had visited the other pubs in the village but they all lacked character and the menu limited. We almost overlooked this bistro but I am so glad we didn't. This place definitely deserves a chance.
Had lunch with my family here today. It is indeed a quiet and cosy little cafe, full of character, nestled in the picturesque Snowdonian village, Beddgelert. The host was a lovely gentleman, very attentive and helpful. The food was fresh, hot and delicious! I would thoroughly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Beddgelert????????????????????????
Went for an evening meal, excellent selection on the menu, including for vegetarians. Food had some excellent flavours and came with a wide variety of side vegetables/potatoes. Very friendly staff. Will come back if in the area again.
Terrible service, dirty and overpriced. If there's more than 2 of you then don't expect to eat together, that is if you actually get a meal! 5 meals ordered, 4 received and 1 of those was wrong. And the customer is NOT right, the grumpy woman in the kitchen is!
Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food especially the Welsh black beef in a pepper sauce. House red wine is also very good.
Scones were dry, cake was dry. The place was filthy, we sat in the window area which had thick dust, cobwebs and was covered in flies. Unfortunately this had put us off from the start ????
