Been going here for more than ten years. We always see the same dentist there and he is always happy to see us and I have had excellent work. He takes his time to explain things and is always helpful - even with my elderly relatives who also go there. The receptionist seems to get lots of flack, but in my experience the various receptionists we have dealt with seem fine.
AWFUL RECEPTIONIST! After a very reasonable misunderstanding with me going to the wrong beaconsfield of which my sister is also with, I missed my appointment. After realising my mistake I called to apologise and re book and I was met by possibly the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to. She quite literally laughed while telling me I was wiped from their system and there was absolutely no chance of re booking. Of which I’m now glad about, considering I’ll never have to speak to the vile receptionist again. This is more than likely the reason that this dentist is the only one in my area accepting new NHS patients. Perhaps time to rethink who you want to be the face of your ‘business’
I went along to the practice to support my friend. The receptionist was beyond rude and called patients phoning to try and book appointments ‘idiots’ once she put the phone down. She told the callers they were too busy for appointments but my friend was the only patient in the waiting room for at least 40 minutes. We didn’t see anyone leave or come in. The dentist was distant, brusk and uninterested- only checking my friends bottom teeth. All he was interested in was flogging his own private hygienist appointment! Truly unprofessional and unfriendly I would avoid at all costs! My friend has now moved dentists!!
The dentist I see is absolutely lovely, caring and efficient. However the receptionist is an absolute nightmare. She is extremely rude and obnoxious. Talks to people like they are something on the bottom of her shoes!! Although my dentist is absolutely lovely, I think I will be looking for a new dentist rather than having to go through the ordeal if dealing with her everytime. Looking at all the other reviews with the same complaint I really don't understand why they havnt got rid if her by now.
The receptionist has horrendous telephone manner. Every phone call I have ever made to the dentist I've come away feeling annoyed. She abrupt, rude and shows very little compassion. By looking at these reviews, it's obvious to see shes always been a problem that they refuse to fix. The actual people doing the dentistry are lovely and cannot fault them. The receptionist constantly makes me feel the need to leave and join somewhere else
OK so I've read the reviews on here and clearly I'm not alone.
Took my children for a check up this morning 8.55 (appointment 9am.)Arrived 5 minutes early(which I thought was the right thing to do to allow 5 minutes to fill out update information. Walking into reception with a jolly good morning only to meet a VERY RUDE receptionist. She simply spoke over me repeatedly saying in a aggressive manner "we are not open yet we are not open yet". Wouldn't even allow me to speak and explain that we had arrived 5 minutes early to fill out update information. I have never been spoken to like that by a reception ever before.
It's a shame because all the rest of the professionals there have always been super friendly and helpful.
Perhaps your receptionist could do with a refresher course on how to treat your clients.
Mrs Lockie
NHS dentist surgery doing the best they can. Speak to the receptionist as if she's an actual person and she will treat you the same. Have seen her take abuse for things that aren't her fault, don't blame her if she's fed up!
Never had a problem with them and just grateful to have an NHS dentist.
Worst dentist I’ve ever been to. Had composite bonding done that looks awful & wrong colour. My son was meant to be referred for sedation for a tooth out. To call and find out 6 months later it had never even been done!!!! Lady on reception is so so rude. Would not recommend at all!!!!
