Un superbe week-end passé chez Battery Valley Farm. Belle nuit dans le petit chalet, on a pu profiter de la piscine chauffée très agréable ! La ferme est très bien située, que l'on veuille profiter de la nature pour une rando ou un petit run ou bien visiter les sites historiques. L'accueil a été parfait, les hôtes très arrangeants et très agréables ... Et que dire du petit déjeuner : parfait ! Charlotte et Fabien
Excellent service personne à l écoute de la clientèle agréable sensible aux bien être des gens et surtout très discrète fait pour ce métier sans le savoir. Je recommande fortement cet établissement. Petit déjeuner digne de très grands hôtels. Merci encore pour votre accueil.
Les chambres sont très confortables et calme. Le coin cuisine est très pratique pour ceux qui, comme moi, ne vont pas tous les jours au resto.||Très bien situé pour les passionnés de la grande guerre.||Je recommande.

Just back from a weekend stay at Battery Valley Farm B and B. We have stayed here many times on our visit to the Somme. An ideal location to stay to visit all the sites. Miriele and Fredrich are fabulous hosts. Home cooked food was amazing. We looked forward to the fabulous breakfast every day. It was so homely. Miriele ia an absolute lady who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests are well looked after.. Battery Valley Farm is our home away from home. Always feel sad saying Goodbye to Miriele and Friedrich. They are just fabulous people. The swimming pool in their garden is an added bonus and our children just love it! 'When you find perfection, why stay anywhere else!!' Thank you so much for your hospitality and warm welcome, can't wait to come back next year.
Great location for visiting the Somme area. Mareille was such a charming and delightful hostess. The breakfast was amazing. Her croissants were as good as the ‘best in Paris’ that we had on our food tour. When we had to leave early in the morning she packed food for us to take. We stayed in the Chalet which had a small kitchenette - nice after many meals out on our trip. The bathroom was small but adequate.
Mireille & Frédéric are friendly & welcoming hosts offering clean & comfortable accommodation, good quality fresh & plentiful breakfast and are ideally located for visiting battlefields of the Somme memorials. ||We stayed stayed for 2 nights in the Chalet which was self contained private accommodation to the side of the main house. There was a kitchenette, dining table & chairs, wardrobe, comfortable double bed, another area with a sofa & desk and a small but very functional en-suite shower room. ||Did not use the cooking facilities as were out all day visiting the sites and ate out in the evening (note. The Poppy restaurant offers a very good value set menu with a drink and is only a short drive away) but did make use of the large fridge to keep our water cold and chill some beers for when we got back later in the evening. All the tv channels are French speaking only but if you find a film or programme that originally had an English soundtrack you can change this back to the original using the remote (can't remember exactly how I done it but it was a good find - otherwise if really need to watch tv in English then download things before you go). ||We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast laid out for us by Mireille in the main house on both mornings. There was plenty of choice - juice, homemade yogurt, cereals, croissant, jam, honey, bread, cheese, ham & scrambled eggs. Also on the second morning we were kindly treated to a very tasty homemade quiche and homemade cake as well. ||Other facilities were secure gated parking, free WIFI and a covered outdoor swimming pool. We did not have time to use the pool but it looked very nice.||The thing that makes this b&b exceptional though is the genuine warmth and kindness of the hosts. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area and recommend it highly to others.
