Love this butchers it always looks inviting I wish it was our local butchers.
My husband & I call for hot filled cobs when passing & to treat ourselves to some of the delicious foods which they sell. They have a variety of chilled foods ranging from cold meats, pies, cakes etc & meats ready to cook.
The staff are very friendly & are always well organised even at its busiest.
Well done to you all keep it up. ????
Absolutely incredible service they went above and beyond! out of 50 butchers called this is the only butchers I managed to call that could source me fresh not frozen tripe out and they never gave up trying until they did and I'm so grateful. Also all the other products for sale the shop look and taste amazing and worth every penny perfect!
Quality products at a fair price.
The difference between their products and the supermarkets is considerable.

Bought from Barry Fitch on a number of occasions but sadly have to report that on this occasion, the half leg of lamb purchased on Friday bore no resemblance to lamb. It was tasteless, not succulent and the meat juices didn’t have any flavour either. A very expensive disappointment. Not what I expect. Moving on from here….I originally gave a 2 star rating. Since then I’ve had a joint of rolled brisket of beef and it was superb. So star rating has gone up a notch.
Butcher was keen to stress the lamb joint I purchased today was sourced locally . We had it for tea tonight - a huge disappointment . No lamb taste and a coarse dry texture . A waste of my hard earned cash ! I bought a joint of brisket at the same time we cooked that tonight ( a week later ) and it was very tasty .
First we had the greatest breafast roll. Then we bought cakes, lunch, and supplies for dinner. Friendly staff, amazing food.
I can not fault this butchers, everytime I come in here, I pick up something great. From the fresh baguettes, to the seasoned chicken, to the sausages, every thing is delicious. We even treat the dog to some of their ham and there is definitely no complaints there! All the staff are incredibly friendly as well. I am relocating and I wish I could bring this butchers shop with me!
Brilliant butchers. Barry and his team are so friendly and you can tell this is a family run business by the atmosphere and the attention to detail/ quality of produce.
The meat is so fresh and I love how they know what I like. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The fillet steaks are beautiful, as well as the minted lamb steaks and beef burgers!
I have no complaints about any produce from this butchers and will continue to buy from them whilst ever I remain in Derby!
