Amazing! We were given a gift box by a friend and totally loved it. Probably the best barfi I've ever had. Went to the store to buy more for ourselves and friends for Christmas. The owners are really welcoming and helpful. Totally love the beautiful gift boxes. They do some unique barfi flavours. I really liked mince pie, coconut and elderflower.
I had the best customer service experience with TJ here. I had been struggling with store closures and had difficulty getting my order and she went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed during a very busy period. She was so lovely and helpful and the order was perfect! Would definitely recommend her and this store!
poor experience
I have been going to Barfia Hornchurch over the last few years since it opened and I am sorry to say that my experience today was very poor.
The staff need training and business decisions on stock and pricing need to be better thought out.
when I arrived, there was no stock on display and so I asked the man what they have available. my question, was countered by a question asking me what I wanted, to which I replied a mixed box.
I was informed a mixed box of 10 pieces would cost £20.
a lady then comes out and offers the person behind me a box of 6 pieces for £8.50.
so when the man came back with my order, I asked around the prices, why was I being offered 10 pieces for £20 when 6 pieces for £8.50 were on offer. he responded to inform me that there were no further 6 piece boxes left and that he does not price the items.
how they have low stock on Diwali weekend is questionable. the pricing makes no sense. I will not be returning.
Absolutely stunning & Quality Barfi.
Due to the virus pandemic it was very difficult to locate and shop which was either open or able to take an order on such a short notice having left it so late the day before Eid.
I did not want your usual standard average Barfi. I wanted something more bespoke and prestigeous that would uplift the mood of family as we were unable to celebrate Eid as we usually did.
I came across Barfia Who offered exactly what I needed. I was able to make an order and choose exactly what I wanted within 10 minutes specifying the size and and how many boxes I would require for my family.
The whole process was swift and easy also very pleasent to talk with, very professional family run business.
My family absolutely loved them the kids went crazy over the differant coloured Barfi and we all enjoyed the Barfi at the comfort of our own homes.
The packaging was simple and elegant and the little pieces of heavens came in all sorts of flavours.

Just a quick note to say the sweet delicacies were delicious. The unicorn or the ???? Rainbow, Candy Floss and Bubblegum flavour Barfi are a big hit with the kids. They got eaten before the picture.

I placed my order for delivery toddy afternoon & it was promptly delivered. We Love Barfia sweets.
Very unprofessional. I have tried to go to this shop twice - both times when they are supposed to be “open” but they have been closed. They make their own mind up on when they open and when they don’t. Tried to go today when the shop online said it opens at 10. It was closed when I got there. When I called them they said what time does it say the shop is open? So they basically were asking me what the shop opening times are. They then went onto to change the times online to reflect 11. They told me they were running late. The shop next door told me there was a lady in the shop at the back. They don’t value their customers and lie to their faces. I travelled 15 miles to this shop on 2 occasions and have left with nothing because they have been closed. They have lost a customer would not recommend them at all they have become too complacent.
Never open when they say they are. Barfi has been stale on more than one occasion. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it just seems to me that they only care about profit and not selling good quality barfi. They do not know how to run a business and the whole thing is a shambles. They do not know whether they are coming or going. Very overpriced!
