Had my MOT done with them at reasonably short notice. Car failed and work was needed on the brakes all around ( I had expected this as it wasn't handling properly ). The garage spent a lot of time trying to find the best solution and ended up going with the most cost effective way to resolve the issues - i.e. they didn't just ramp up the price and add in things that were not needed. Am pleased with the level of service and will use them again to MOT my other cars.
Shocking place. I brought my car in last week as exhaust was blowing. Was quoted £600 to fix car. I almost scrapped it. Took the car elsewhere and none of what Balmoral said needed fixed. What DID need fixed cost 170 quid. Daylight robbery. Shop local they say ? No when they shaft you like that !!!
Car was repaired to an exceptional standard. Quick and efficient service. Staff brilliant, kept updated at all times. Would highly recommend.
It was good local garage, maybe bit to busy nowadays, I had brake discs and pads done before taking car for mot unfortunately pads were fitted wrong way round ???? (bad bind noticed on mot)

Scammers! Avoid!
Offered service with picking up and dropping off the car - car has never been dropped off. They’ve done MOT fraud and it’s being investigated at the moment. Quoted nearly £2000 to fix the issues, other garage did MOT again and quoted for £170. They postponed appointment to make sure MOT will expire. They speak on the phone really fast to make sure I don’t understand what’s the issue. Everything has been recorded as I realised at some point it is a scam and can be proved. Professional scammers, avoid at all cost.
Started coming here during COVID when they extended the MOT on everyone car, needing to use my car almost daily I felt it was still important to have one. Balmoral were definitely essential workers and enabled me to continue using my car safely during a crazy time. I wouldn't go past them now.
Great local garage discovered by accident who performed an MOT, service and some repairs to my wife’s Audi. Friendly service and honest advice, a rare find these days. Will certainly use them again.
Scammers. Faking your MOT result. Other garages don’t find the same faults and quote way less then this garage. Doing things on the edge of legal actions to make sure you are in trouble, but can’t fight them back. If you want to avoid troubles and waste of time avoid them.
