Came here as I was in the pub nearby. Usually it's closed on days I'm nearby, Mondays, but glad after eating here I came today and it's open.
I had steak pie and chips and two red stripes.
The steak pie was cooked well and the chips were plentiful.
The bar lady Bee recommended the red stripe to me, I am glad I took her recommendation. The beer is light and only £3 for a 330ml. Not a bad price for a light, nice imported beer.
Overall it's a nice place with friendly staff I'll return to when in the area.
The food was delicious here, me and my partner ordered brown stew chicken with rice and peas. Brilliant food portions and the stew sauce was very tasty. The chicken came off bone nicely. The coleslaw was so tasty ???? the best one I’ve had in a long time. The waiter was young girl, very polite and helpful. The owner was friendly turned on tv for my daughter to watch a kids film. Overall very happy with the food and service of this restaurant. My family and I would definitely come back! ????
Not sure what to say.
Portions not too bad. Service quite prompt. But the chips tasted strange and bits werent fully cooked. If I had to guess the chips were fried in oil which was used to fry other foods which leeched into the oil leaving a little bit of a stench.
Maybe it was an off day and they were frying an assortment of different foods that day.
Service is warm, welcoming and friendly. Portion sizes were huge, we got fish and chips, was really nice, fish tasted very fresh, crispy and not too greasy, chips were actually perfect couldn't fault them. I can't speak for any of the other foods available as is my first time going there and just fancied fish and chips but am looking forward to going back to try the carribean food as I didn't realise they also did that. Prices very reasonable.
Firstly that was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten both me and my son agree. It came piping hot. Reminded us of the good old days , when my mum used to buy them. A real treat not just a meal. I and my son recommend them because they are awesome

The good:
I missed the lunch time rates but I got the curry Goat and it was really good.
The really bad:
Got delivery for fish and chips and it was one of the worst I've had, the chips were really hard and lukewarm, the fish batter was overcooked and really dry, it felt like everything was just left out for ages.
They forgot to put the Gravy in the delivery and even brought the wrong drink.
I'd come back for the Caribbean but wouldn't even consider coming back for fish and chips
I had one of the tastiest portions of chips in a very long time. The people were lovely. I'll be going back there very soon! ????
Ordered the curry goat with rice and peas.They packed some pieces of plantain with it as well.Good portions and not very hot so suit all tastes.I was impressed with the price ,delivery charge and speed of delivery.
