Addicted to the black pudding pork pies! First butterscotch tart I've had since schooldays 30 years ago - just as I remember it. Lovely shop - wish we had one in Worksop.
We call every week for a pork pie???? the best you will eat, and sausage rolls for work. Called on n off for years but your 11 miles away. This week we’ve had apple pie bacon chops these are amazing tomato sausage again amazing some mince . Also sandwich ham which again is lovely . I’d also recommend cornflake tart butterscotch tart Manchester on the times they have it jam n lemon curd tarts. It costs me a bomb but the produce and service you get is second to none

This is a national treasure. Proper old school store. Grumpy older ladies, cheeky younger staff it’s a perfect blend! Quality meats pies and cakes . Great staff and produce it’s top notch. It should have its business rates waived as its whats keeping retfords heart pumping. Try the pasties, cakes or sausages and everything in between. Where else can you go and get elbowed by a granny after her white loaf while you wrestle a cheeky sausage roll.
Visiting family and popped in. Sausage rolls are the best I've had in a long time. Full of quality meat and pastry delicious. Also bought pork/apple burgers and some beef burgers for tomorrow's dinner. DDefinitely come again to try something else as it all look very tasty.
Absolutely fabulous meat pies (steak & Potato,minced beef and traditional pork pies)
Coupled with good old fashioned customer service what's not to like ? If I could give them 6 stars I definitely would.
Top Tip. Give the Eccles cakes a try whilst you are there.
We have moved back into the area and always remember the excellent food Bacon's produced. It has not changed. Today we bought pork pie, minced steak pies, gammon steaks, stewing steak and custard tart. Fabulous!! Yum yum yum. Food like it used to taste. Thank you
Best sausage rolls I've ever had. Full of tasty meat and no annoying "gap" between the meat and pastry. Everything else is nice to. Lovely shop.
