Been here so many times over the years. A perfect place to shop (downstairs) and then head upstairs to have a nice lunch with the doggies. Lovely foods with good portion sizes. Highly recommend if you are passing through.
Nice comfortable location, good coffee but mediocre food.
I had a coffee to drink, which was lovely and smooth, flavourful. Wife had the tea which was pretty nice.
For food I ordered the shakshouka which I found distinctly average. The ingredients were fresh enough, but it overall seemed to miss the mark of good shakshouka, which should have punchy spices with crispy and caramelised bits - this was a tin of tomatoes boiled up with slices of pepper and a poached egg plopped on top. It wasn't terrible or inedible or anything, just not that great and not really worth the 11 quid.
Wife had the black pudding 'open sandwich' which was, similarly, tasty enough in its own way, but was lacking something light to counterpoint the heaviness of the meat and carbs.
In summary, coffee was nice but I wouldn't eat here again.
Service was really friendly and quick. Our dog was really welcomed if you are in the area well worth a visit.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing Breakfast and service. Traditional Scottish foods, Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.
Cafe is above an outdoors shop so I wasn’t expecting much BUT they had big portions of great food. £12 a head with a coffee and a main. Also, really great service with very friendly and attentive staff. Best place for food and coffee in Callander, would seriously recommend this place!
Stumbled upon this gem of a place after an early morning walk on a very cloudy day. The Scottish fish chowder with garlic bread definitely hit the spot ????????Coffee is really good too
This place is excellent! If you’re lucky enough to get a table by the window you can enjoy your breakfast/brunch/lunch with views out toward Ben Ledi, the mountain beyond Callander. Even if you don’t get one of those tables the whole restaurant is filled with natural light thanks to a huge section of the roof given over to glass.
The food is top notch too and there is always something truly special on the specials board. I had the venison goulash which was such high quality I wasn’t expecting it to be so good.
Dog and child friendly with plenty of choice in food, drinks and desserts. Would highly recommend.
A bright and airy cafe, with a good selection of hot drinks and herbal teas. They offer some gluten free cakes, if anyone needs to avoid gluten, but they aren't served in a safe way for people with coeliac disease, so we haven't tried them.
