Best KPortal Reviews

We’ve been here many times, and were just as satisfied tonight as all previous visits. New menus since the last time we came—really well laid out and modern. Easy to understand. Very reasonable pricing. Got a peach limeade that was just “meh”, but I don’t really like sugary drinks with sushi anyway. Still a solid 5/5. We’ll be back!
Hands down this is one of the best sushi places in Utah, if not anywhere. The food is amazing, the service is 2nd to none and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth going to.
I just wanna throw up. I love sushi and been here before. However, it’s been a couple of years and this time, I couldn’t finish the roll. Not sure what they put in there but it stinks and taste bitter. I also waited 20-25 minutes for a to go order of 2 sushi rolls. Waitress looked tired and didn’t look like they wanted to help me put in the order. Disappointing and frustrating to say the least. I wished I had gone somewhere else.
I came here a few times when they first opened, and it was only okay for me. It was good sushi, but I think it was still too expensive for what you got.
They changed owners in the last year or two, and I tried it again, and wow, what a difference.
We usually sit at the bar and have Ben make our food. I just have him make whatever he feels like, and it's been exceptional. I've never been disappointed by a single roll he's made.
It's still on the pricy side if you're a glutton like me, but it's the best I've had anywhere close to Utah.
As good as it is, I'm ashamed I forget to take pictures of everything when we go. I can't wait to eat it.
We loved the volcano and the Asahi rolls! They got us in quickly without a reservation. Limited seating, and pretty kid friendly based on all the families there.
My friend and I wanted to grab sushi together for lunch and Asahi was perfect for us. It's a little more dinner and bar vibes, with a darker dining room than what you would find in a fast casual restaurant, which worked for us because we wanted a quieter space so we could catch up. This also helped it be a little less busy.
The food itself was delicious, but I'm not usually too picky with my sushi rolls and will eat most of any roll. I did like that they had a pretty extensive menu though. Definitely excited to go again, I'd love to try the actual lunch special which is a little more affordable or go for dinner sometime.
I saw this restaurant on SLC foodie and wanted to check it out. I will agree with the previous reviews that the atmosphere is really aimed towards the younger generation- it’s bright with some moody elements with popular TikTok songs playing in the background. The atmosphere was lovely for me, because it was aimed towards my demographic. Started off with the salad and I will say- do not get it. The oranges with the dressing is not very palatable, the dressing was chunky on the top and watery on the bottom, the veggies did seem fresh though. I don’t eat sushi, my partner however does and he reported that the spicy salmon roll was verging on the side of being over the top- none of the sushi he had was strikingly good or noteworthy. I ordered the teriyaki steak and was not impressed at all- it’s really fatty with lots of questionable pieces that had me spitting them out after chewing for awhile, think about the common mall beef experience, super similar concept. The appetizers we got were very normal quality for similar restaurants. There were also lots of flies around. Overall I’m really sad to have not been very impressed- the lady serving us was so kind and I loved the atmosphere, I just wouldn’t personally drive from Salt Lake for it.
Favorite Sushi restaurant in all of Utah ! Super clean & delicious food ! Always super friendly & professional! I come here multiple times a week and always recommend it to my friends ????
