My friend and I stumbled across this lovely tearoom whilst walking our dogs at the beach last week! Amazing!! It is so nice and the lady serving us was ever so friendly! We had a very good brunch ( a special) Which consisted of half a sandwich of your choice,a small homemade soup,a pot of coleslaw, and a slice of cake of your choice! You cannot fail ,to find something you like in this cute little tearoom! We very rarely call in anywhere more than once but, purposely went back today! The atmosphere is so relaxed, food presentation spot on,and very reasonably priced! It is just so nice to have a cup of tea in a China cup and saucer! Something a little bit different, makes it that little bit special! I'm nearly frightened to share this tearoom, incase it becomes to busy to squeeze us in!! Enjoy!!
Lovely local eatery with a lovely welcome. My sister and I stopped here for a bite to eat while walking our dog, and we'll certainly be making our way back in the future.
It's a beautiful little setting, with a mish Mash of chairs and tables on offer, a pet bed available for the pup, and local artists and producers crafts on offer to purchase.
The food was good, and the coffee was great. I decided upon a rather unusual Sconewich and wasn't disappointed in the least. A sun dried tomato and cheese scone filled with bacon and onion chutney, it was a brilliant concept, and one I thoroughly enjoyed. My sister decided upon a slice of the homemade chocolate cake, and that was lovely too.
Cheap, welcoming, and delicious, this cafe is perfect for a quick stop or for afternoon tea. Dogs are welcome (if well behaved), I highly recommend.
WE HAVE BEEN VISITING THE ARTISAN CAFE FOR SOME TIME NOW. THIS IS BY FAR, THE BEST PLACE FOR QUALITY OF HOME MADE FOOD, PRICE, WITH A GREAT HOMELY ATMOSPHERE, FROM THE LOVELY LADY OWNER. AT BUSY TIMES, YOU MAY HAVE A LITTLE WAIT, BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU, THE FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT. ONCE YOU HAVE TRIED THE ARTISAN CAFE, I'M SURE YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE IT YOUR REGULAR GO TO PLACE. ONLY A 5 STAR RATING, IN MY OPINION, FOR THIS LITTLE GEM.
Lovely tea room, comfortable and stylish with a relaxing atmosphere. Welcoming owner who knows how to rustle up a fabulous brekkie sandwich and cracking coffee. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Newbiggin by the Sea.
We had a tasty bowl of cullen skink and a quiche, together with a cream and lemon curd scone. Its a nice place, with good feel and well run.
Lovely little cafe. Scones so good there were none left after a busy morning. Cakes were delish and good coffee too. Recommended oh yes ..????
Just had another lovely evening at the Artisan Cafe. Supper club held the first Thursday of every month is a brilliant event. Lindsey’s food is always delicious. We get to have a lovely catch up with friends and meet some new people at the same time.
Recently moved into the area, so this was my first visit. Stumbled on the tea room as the Maritime Centre cafe was rammed, so I looked for an alternative. Food was great and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Will be back!
