This steakhouse remains a standout in town, with its hearty portions perfect for sharing. The ribs are enormous! The Our steak is consistently outstanding, boasting that timeless flavor with divine char notes. And for dessert, The carrot cake was an unexpected delight! The cream cheese frosting was irresistibly smooth, complementing the fluffy cake impeccably.
The place went downhill. I order a beer with my food. After waiting awhile they tell me they are out of it and they only have 3 beers. I order a draft and when it finally came, i took one sip and it was flat and tasted like vinegar. They took it back and i ordered a bottle of beer. (I was only having one beer, i was craving an ice cold draft) The food came out not cooked as ordered. We ate and asked for the bill. The flat gross vinegar beer was still on the bill!! Ten bucks for a pint of domestic. I advised them and the manager said well we didn't charge the bottle of beer. I guess a domestic bottle is ten dollars. This place will close soon for sure. Save your money and go anywhere but here. Its a shame, i use to love this place. The only positive note was the server. He actually said I'm sorry for your experience.
I don't know how often you may pass through New Jersey on 95 but just off exit 9 hwy 18 is Arthur's Steakhouse & Pub. It's definitely worth the stop because it's very rare to get this old time feel plus the delicious food. My steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Great people who focus on serving others with top notch service. I use to think folks had to dress up but I'm all Truck Driver. I did shower this morning so I'm sure that helped.
It’s been a while since I’ve been here was a little disappointed in French onion soup the soup it self was very tasty but they usually do a layer of cheese bake it then a 2nd layer of cheese so it’s double baked and this wasn’t
Steaks are amazing, and cooked to perfection. Never have I had to return a steak. Beer is fresh as well. Dessert portions are huge! I recommend either sharing a dessert, or you could always take it home. Parking is in the back. Plenty of it
I decided to come here for the first time in 13 years. It's still the same interior I remembered it still has a dive bar feel to it except they got rid of the red and white checkerboard table cloths. I ordered a cowboy burger (SWISS CHEESE, BACON, SAUTEED MUSHROOMS, SAUTEED ONIONS, LETTUCE & TOMATOES). It was pretty good a little under cooked but it was still good. My waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall it's an ok place it's still the same as I remember it is not a high end place even though they price it near that range. But it's still good if you're in the area
Be very careful. After eating my birthday dinner there, the debit card number i used there was stolen and over $2000 was taken out of my account. I obviously can’t prove it was my server, but I haven’t used that card physically in over 2 months and on the same night I used it, I was robbed.
1st timer from Indiana. Great food and nice portions. Reasonable prices. Fireplace kept it warm. Service a bit slow, but otherwise no complaints. I had the baked cod and it was very good. Check it out!
