I really like this place, I’ve been coming here to eat here for over 12 years, I live in the same village.
I first ate here when he sold food ‘Road-Side’ literally! Same owner/cook. He build his business on good and cheep food, He now has a nice clean and pleasant eating area inside and out and very good prices.
Unfortunately, it’s not been plain sailing for this restaurant. There biggest issue was not the food, that’s always been great, it’s the staff, more to the point, retaining them. Keeping reliable staff is an issue in Thailand, add young staff and it being the countryside. It got so bad that the owner changed to a “Shabu” style eating place……… Well, thankfully for me it’s open again as a restaurant. We ate there last night and I’m very happy to report the food is just as good as it’s always been……
So if your on your way to Pai, or Sticky Waterfalls, or just out and about on the 107 north of Chiang Mai, Mae Taeng area, check it out. It’s all good and the prices knock the spots of town restaurants.
