Opportunity for family to get together for birthday celebrations. Would recommend prebooking. The food was good however most of them were very hot I am from the Caribbean and enjoy my spices but unfortunately even for me the pepper was a bit challenging! The seating also was not the most comfortable for a party more than two. For parties more than two you were seated on what essentially was a sofa and you either ate with the food in your lap or on a centerpiece table bending forward! If your pilot enjoys extremely peppery food as in volcano hot you would enjoy. I am planning to go back a next time, however I will be telling them to reduce the pepper! The goat meat was very chewy!
The ambiance was great but the service was poor. Waited over 20 mins for someone to assist me. They were not busy at all…Waitress just passed by me without even acknowledging me at all. I literally had to flag her down to order my drink. All I wanted was a drink. She gave me the drink menu then disappeared; after 15 minutes of waiting, I saw the manager passing by and the manager took my drink order. The manager was nice though. But the service of the waitress was quite disappointing. I gave a 3 star just because the manager was actually nice and my drink was good. But the lack of customer service from the waitress and her treating a customer as if the customer is bothering her, really left a bad taste in my mouth!
Wonderful food, wonderful service, great music, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Most definitely coming back!
Disappointed and I would not return. Our server was pleasant, but she didn't write anything down. Important because it took over an hour to get a drink (far later than everyone else at our table) and the entree I ordered never arrived. I don't think she placed my order. The server repeatedly said, "The kitchen was backed up." But the place wasn't packed and I'd ordered pasta. How long could pasta take? To compensate for the dish I never recieved, I was given an order of nothing special wings. How an entree equals a plate of wings, I do not know. After 3 hours, I left mad, hungry, and thirsty. Our party sat on the patio. It was nice, but not all of the heaters worked. I would have likely rated the restaurant better on aesthetics, music, and environment, but I can't. The speakers in our section didn't work and the primary lighting was a motion sensor flood light that we had to continuously activate. Overall, it's a no for me. I wanted to enjoy it, but it's overpriced, poorly staffed, and poorly executed. It's nice for culture and vibes, but don't go if you're hungry or expect timely service.
Please reserve in advance, it’s like Fort Knox, especially if you want hookah. Every available seat occupied. Me and my sister grabbed a table at the bar (by luck) and wanted hookah, can only do outside and if wanted table had to buy a bottle after a certain time. You cannot reserve that day of either. The food was fresh, but I ordered a Caesar salad and they ran out of Cesar dressing. My sister ordered lamb suya and they only had beef. Nonetheless we ate it. The drinks were mid. The bartender was nice and gave us shots on the house, so that was nice, despite having to leave because we wanted to have hookah. The dj / host was good, working the crowd And high energy. Definitely cannot drop by here, you need to plan to go here if you want outside priority with the option to hookah. Waiting to get in for a reservation seemed to be unorganized as well there was 15 people sitting waiting to be seated. Glad we sneaked in and found a seat at the bar.
I loved almost everything! Food and ambiance were great. Hubby and I went on an impromptu dinner date so we were seated outside. It was nice since there were heaters to keep us warm. I just didn’t like our seats & table, they were too low and I had to stretch my leg to the isle and keep readjusting as people were coming and going. Other than that, it was great and we’ll def be back.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. At night it lights up and turns into a nightclub after 9 pm. Security does check IDs & attire at the door. They are very strict with their dress code. Food is African, so Goat, Oxtails, Cornish Hens, Jerk/Curry Chicken, Shrimp, Coconut, Rice & Peas. The food is extremely spicy and flavorful. Outdoors has plastic chairs. I sat at a high top table. I was sliding out of the chairs and sweating a lot in them. The lower tables are probably better and more comfortable. I chose to stand up to eat. Drinks were on point. I got the House Rum Punch & LemonDrop. The ambiance, palm trees, lights, artwork and light fixtures are very nice. I recommend a table inside for a better dining experience. The music is so good, Tems, Beyoncé, BurnaBoy, Afrobeats, R&B & Hip-Hop. The DJ was on point. The atmosphere really is a vibe. I would only recommend better service, friendlier staff and more interaction from the managers.
Food was phenomenal. Service was great.
The people working were very attentive an wonderful.
site said we had to dress up or would be refused entry. Not the case for others.
Plan to come back in the summer for events!
