Never a bad meal at this place! Food is top-notch!! The service is right up there, too. Luckily, I don't ever have room for dessert because they always seem to be out of a lot. The location in Caste Village has a tendency to get noisy when the place is busy just because it's so big and open, but that doesn't deter me from going. The food is well worth it!
Decent and consistent food. My favorite of all of their locations. It’s nothing fancy but is almost always tasty and not overly expensive. This most recent time, I had the baked artichokes, crab stuffed ravioli, and the coconut cream pie. Artichokes are always a hit, ravioli could’ve had more crab, and the pie had too much meringue in my opinion.
The wing on the top left is actually from Rowdy's barbecue. The teeny tiny wings that Armstrong's overcharged us for are the three on the right. This place is going downhill FAST! We used to love their wings. But Armstrong's should be ashamed of themselves. $15.95 for a dozen of these bones. We are done with Armstrong's.
Armstrong's is an old-style restaurant like where Dad took Mom (or Grandad took Grandma,) with a traditional menu. There's a bar at the entrance, lots of booths, and a few tables. The service was excellent the food was good. We went at 12:30pm on a Sunday after church and were disappointed that there weren't any breakfast/brunch items available, but the sandwiches were generous in size and ingredients. We hadn't been there in over a decade, but not much had changed and sometimes that's comforting. Would recommend Armstrong's for a laid-back restaurant experience.
Excellent meal and service. Save room for the coconut cream pie! The sausage stuffed pepper appetizer is fantastic. I had the steak calzone for first time and will definitely order it again.
Ordered takeout from Armstrong’s and it was delicious! The wedding soup, stuffed banana peppers, and the chicken parmigiana were wonderful. They packed it well with a lot of bread and butter on the side. Would definitely order from here again or get takeout! Recommend to anyone looking for some home style Italian in the South Hills!
Always a favorite! Mozzarella sticks were AMAZING!!!! Hubby loved the steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms. I veered from my normal chicken salad to try the steak salad!! Delicious!
The food was amazing! Had stuffed shrimp with crabmeat and mashed potatoes. With a salad. My husband had chicken wings barbecue/cajun sauce. Everything was made to order. Came out nice and hot.
