I was greeted by the hostess. I took a seat at the bar. I ordered a peach margarita on the rocks, it was very tasty. There was no featured drink that day. The current special was $2 off per cocktail for happy hour that day.
I had chips and hot salsa. The chips were fresh and crispy and the hot salsa had a nice bite to it. I also ordered the Mexican Beef Sandwich with cheese. I noticed that the price had gone up a bit, but what hasn't these days.
All in all it was a great visit as usual, thanks to the bartender and the Armando's team
Nice place! Love the bottomless chips and salsa. Our waitress was awesome. The food came out really quick. We all enjoyed the food. Good serving size. We had to take some home. I hear their carryout is a different menu with different prices. It seems to be a popular option. We will come back.
Love me some good Mexican food! Have been here a few times a really close family friend was who introduced me to the place and I for sure am thankful! The food and service was really good during our last visit, the salsa for the chips is not my favorite but still got the job done. Will be back in the future, thanks again for the experience!
The food was bland. The carne asada didn't have much seasoning. The shrimp was placed in a small bowl of melted butter. I never received the side of rice and beans.
If you're reading this review then you definitely have to go here when in Detroit for authentic Mexican food! Been coming here for many years but it has been a couple years since I've been back and it looks like they did some renovations inside. This was one of my favorites downtown and this time also didn't disappoint. Don't need to make this too long of a story the food was always excellent and it still is excellent.

I didn’t care for the way the chips tasted, they were kind of greasy flavored…
But, apparently they got some new tables and it’s nearly impossible to cut your food or do anything without the table rocking, back-and-forth and back-and-forth lol
Kind of annoying but still a good place to eat…
Took my Queen there for the first time and she loved it. The server was great his name was Chino. You need a few more like him.
One of the original restaurants around here, and surprisingly the quality hasn't gone downhill like other originals around here. I've actually had take out from here 3 times in the last 3 months. Twice I had a Cuban sandwich and once I had the seafood chimichangas. The food was very good and will definitely be ordering again from here.
