Best KPortal Reviews

Small family run place with just 6 tables, maybe seating for 25 people. Great food , good selection, and amazing service to boot. The only improvement I would suggest is to remove the plastic covers on tables with glass as the current plastic ones get stuck to plates, and they become tough to move. As this is a small restaurant so one needs to pick up plates to make space for new ones, and the old ones get stuck to the tables and prove a nuisance.
Highly recommended! If you're craving authentic Iranian and Turkish cuisine, this place is a must-visit.
Their extensive menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Don't miss out on their rice pudding—it's fantastic!
Additionally, the spacious venue is perfect for hosting large gatherings with friends, and street parking is readily available. Plus, the clean and spacious bathroom is a nice bonus.
We came here after my graduation dinner and were a bit late to my reservation which was close to the time of closing, but the staff was still able to accommodate us which I appreciated. The food was excellent, both the Persian food and afghani food were very authentic with good portions as well. My only suggestion would be to have water served by glasses if possible rather than bottles but outside of that I would absolutely come back here with my family again.
I've enjoyed their food a couple of times in the last two weeks, and it was incredibly tasty and delicious. Also, the restaurant's ownership has changed, and now, an Afghan family owns the restaurant. They offer a new variety of Persian and Afghan dishes that I highly recommend trying, especially since we didn't have a Persian or Afghan restaurant here in Pittsburgh for so long.
On Friday night (Sep 22, 2023), our large group visited, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our restaurant adventures. They managed all our orders perfectly, and everything was absolutely great. Furthermore, since we were celebrating a birthday, they even played music for us. It was undeniably a special night, and we're definitely planning on returning in the future.
Highly recommended! ????????
Loved the food here and can’t wait to come back and try more. We had Ash reshte and Persian eggplants for appetizer, zereshk polo and kubideh for main dish, and sole Zard for dessert. Everything tasted great. Service was great too.
Very traditional family run restaurant with family style cooking. You feel like you have been invited to eat in someone's home. The food is excellent especially the Kobideh kabab entree which comes with two strips of char grilled kabab, a mount of basmati rice, a lettuce side salad, two grilled tomatoes, a jalapeno and all with large pita/naan/lavash style bread. Highly recommended.
I tried their chicken kabab and Adana kabab. The kababs and rice were very good. I ordered Kunafa but it came burned and dry (did not put a picture because it didn’t even look nice). I did tell the server that the Kunafa quality was not acceptable and they need to fix it. Their tea is very good it comes with cardamom.
This Afghan family owned restaurant offers a variety of Turkish, Irani and Afghan dishes. The food was very flavorful and tasty. Rice and the meat was done perfectly.
I’ll definitely be back here again if in Pittsburgh.
For Heratis, they have your favorite “kichiri”. I enjoyed it for lunch. They also have kichiri gosht land.. offered seasonal. If you want it, call the restaurant in advance if it’s available.
