Lovely beaches, lovely views, amazing wildlife and nice people. Very tranquil and peaceful
Ardnamurchan is a fabulous location. Full of wildlife - deer, eagles, pinemartins, orca, dolphins, otters, and much more. The views are lovely. The only downsides are ticks and adders.
The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is such an amazing place for walking.
To the far East are the Singing Sands near Arivegaig. A track from the parking area near to Arivegaig takes you along the coast and through woods for around two and a half miles until you reach this beautiful secluded beach.
On the far West coast are the beaches of Sanna Bay and nearby Bay MacNeil. Both places of hidden beauty with long stretches of white sandy coves to explore. The whole of this area of the peninsula has a backdrop of hills marking the outer walls of an enormous ancient volcano. If you pan out on the map, you'll see the circular pattern of the lava fields stretching from Kilchoan in the South all the way to the North and West coasts. Amazing to be aware of as you drive around and through the remains of the volcano and realise where the surrounding hills originated.
Lovely little place to stay while exploting Sanna Bay and The Singing Sands etc. The locals are really friendly too
Possibly the most stunning peaceful place in the UK
If you don't want people walking around with their head down looking at phones/tablets then this is the place to be.
The peninsula has a beauty all of its own, with a rugged coast line dotted with unspoilt sandy beaches, great walking experiences over the most stunning landscape.
So beautiful and peaceful in the furthest part of Scotland. Memories will always stay with anyone's holiday.
What a magical place!
