The word that comes to mind on those rare occasions when I eat at Applebee's is "adequate." The food is never great or even especially good, but it's not particularly bad, either.
The atmosphere is just what you expect from a cookie-cutter American restaurant (see also Chili's and TGIFriday's and Red Robin and Ruby Tuesdays if you can find one) -- in other words, fine, but nothing special. Adequate.
The service was friendly and at least at this restaurant I've noticed a kind of local hangout vibe that's nice. That said, I asked for my ice tea without lemon and got lemon. I asked for some pink in my burger and got not a hint of it. And as always, it seemed like the only seasoning with which the kitchen is familiar is salt and plenty of it.
I guess it says all that needs saying that the most flavorful part of the meal was the catsup.
The family and I went for lunch but we " to go" dinner. The lunch was excellent but my to go order was not as requested or asked for. I asked for Medium well steak and I ended up getting burnt steak smh!! I'm not happy! I can't even eat this. It's tough and Burnt!! I hope the manager sees this and does something about this. This means no dinner for me after I paid and even tipped good. Next time I will check my food while there.. we try to trust but I guess we can't even do that anymore!!!
I came a few days ago, on our anniversary. my husband is in ICU, had very complictated surgeries and I was a wreck first time here. She was super nice and friendly made me stop crying and feel better. I come back today, and she remembered me! Super sweet lady. Made me feel good. Waiting on dinner but appetizer is here and I'm feeling great! ????
Food was amazing and for everything we got for $50 we will definitely be back ????????????
I wish they had 1/2 stars because this was more of a 3 and 1/2 star experience.Aubrey was our server. She was great! Very personable and efficient. We ordered the Friday Night Special, double crunch shrimp with two sides. We had fries and garlic green beans. The green beans were delicious. The shrimp was a 3+. The fries, a little boring. Atmosphere was okay, but a screaming toddler was distracting. They have other great specials and we will be back to try them. The price was great was $9.99 for each dinner.
Blessed to have ate lunch on Veterans Day at the Gainesville Applebee's where Marcello B was my waiter. His service was through the roof above and beyond as he was prompt / polite / asked several times if I needed anything else and how my food was. Highly recommended as I'll def be going back there.

We went to celebrate something for my brother. It was me him my significant other and my 6 year old son. What should have been a pleasant experience was absolutely ruined by the horrible waitress that we had. She tried to rush us when ordering, and when my brother wasn't ready she looked at him and said what not enough time? Clearly you're not ready and stormed off. She never came back to ask us how our food was and only came back to ask if we needed a drink after our food had been finished. She was completely rude and even my 6-year-old asked why she was being mean to Mommy...
Had a wonderful experience here! Our server was also the bartender and he was fast and friendly and the manager even brought us extra fries as it was later in the evening and they made too many. Very awesome experience and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience
