Was visiting the area and was looking for a good seafood restaurant being by the shore, but at that hour, everything seemed to be closing or closed. Found this on our way home still open.
Restaurant seemed dirty, workers complained about doing their job, server was unenthusiastic and seemed like she was getting forced to do her job, wasn't pleasant with her tone, and didn't introduce herself well if any. Food was just ok. Was a below average experience. We will not be coming back to this location.
For Applebee's this place is good. But, it's Applebee's so take that how you will. Wings weren't bad but not my favorite sauces. The quesadilla burger was pretty good actually, best thing I ate all night. Tasted good and stayed together while I ate it which is a plus. The onion rings weren't much different than what you can buy from the frozen section at a grocery store, pretty run of the mill and nothing special. The chips that come with salsa and dips are okay. The buffalo chicken sandwich was fine. Fries were pretty good although very standard.
The service was actually very good, which is a common theme at this location. The manager and waitress were very accommodating for a birthday dinner we had here. And our waitress was very enthusiastic, happy, and was able to joke with our lively group.
Happy customers always return. Loved seeing all the regulars sitting and chatting with the bartenders and the server in the bar was great, never needed to ask for things an always smiled checking the table and clearing as she walked by.
I love Applebee's. Great prices, awesome service, tasty food. They are doing a great job accommodating their customers during this pandemic.
As my night was ending , I realized I haven’t ate dinner so I decided to go to my local Applebees!! I’m not going to lie, the food is never terrible and it comes out pretty fast. I had the wonton tacos that’s always a 10/10 , spinach dip 10/10 & I decided to order some tenders , I only wanted tender and the waiter just made it a kids meal and added fries. For the first time ever the fries was TRASH! But I didn’t make a big deal because I really didn’t want them. However , as I was eating , one of the staff members turned the lights out to where the entire restaurant is dark except for the tvs and someone yells out “Applebees after dark”, I couldn’t believe it. I’m just trying to grab dinner, if I wanted to go to a club, I would have. on top of the kitchen staff laughing and making some much noise. I’m sitting at the bar and all I can hear is this one chick laughing so loud , it was very disturbing!! It’s sounded like a damn circus in there! Finally , the way the staff is talking to eachother saying “yo cuz” like yes I get it , where we are from but at WORK! It felt like I was on the block somewhere. This Applebee’s is really going down hill , management needs to get it together. Very very disturbing. I would rather drive
To tinton falls to eat at Applebees. No Applebees is like this! GET IT TOGETHER!!
My server Khalil went above and beyond. By far the best service I’ve ever got at this Applebees and I’ve been a customer for over 12 years. He killed it
Waited a half an hour for anyone to come back to check on me while seated at the bar. Finally had to stand up by my chair to indicate I was leaving before a bartender noticed me to close me out. Was going to get dessert but so aggravated with the lack of service decided against it.
Ordered the 2 meals $26 2 burgers bacon cheese burger and classic cheeseburger ask for Pink both were dry like hockey puck mozzarella sticks were the Only edible thing! For $29 I was VERY disappointed ..I asked for salt & pepper packs was told they didn't have any....
Applebee's really went down.. very disappointed ..would've been better off going to 5 Guys..called restaurant and still haven't heard back from a manager , just wasted $29.. Applebees was Always good..What happened ?
