This will be my last trip to Applebee's in Dublin. This is about as bad a service as I have received in years.
We asked for water when we sat down and then an additional three times. No water.
Our appetizer plate of boneless wings arrived, and we had to ask for flatware. I assumed they would be bringing us small plates to eat these, but that didn't happen.
My wife asked the server to hold the mayo on her hamburger. The hamburger arrived slathered with mayo.
I got up and took the plate over to the bar, where I was greeted by the manager. She asked if there was a problem, and I said, "Yes, nothing is going right here tonight." I explained everything. They redid my wife's burger.
Service remains next to nonexistent.
Our check came, and I had to remind the server that the drinks were not discounted for happy hour. I noticed my wife's hamburger was comped but then added back on to the ticket.
Several tables around us were left unbussed the entire time we were sitting there. The server never offered to take our plates away after we were finished.
In my 60-plus years of dining out, this dining experience rates right up there as being one of the worst.
Understand, I rarely speak out if one or two things go wrong with a meal. I've never picked up a plate and taken it back towards the kitchen.
Most of my Google restaurant reviews are 4 or 5 stars. My expectations are low.
It was the preponderance of all of the above and some unmentioned items that warranted this one-star rating.
I wished I had read the Google reviews before coming here today. Clearly, I'm not a lone voice regarding the bad service.
No silverware
Garlic Parmesan wings tasted like plain fried
The celery was not consumable (check the pic) Applebee's has fallen off maybe Ruby Tuesdays is still ok my waitress was top and the mango smoothie was excellent as was the host

Please try to do better Applebee's the chicken pasta Alfredo had over cooked broccoli all in all not a good experience such a shame
We waited for more than 30 minutes to get our drinks, and we finally left after not being served one of our appetizers or any of our entrees after an hour and ten minutes. The waitress said the kitchen was “backed up,” but we spoke to the manager and found out our waitress never placed our order. Other waitresses were serving their tables in a timely manner, and the manager was very nice and apologetic. But, we paid for our drinks and the appetizer we did receive, and we left. We will not be back.
Dirty dishes glasses are dirty and plates roaches everywhere food not reaching the correct temperature. Floors are nasty maggots in trash can mold in ice maker and dish washer. General manager on drugs. They have the biggest rat problem. Low health department score for a “family” restaurant. No order at all turns into a club at night and this is coming from a former employee. Health department came and they got the lowest score ever under the management of Duane Moore. Very racist manager.
Super disappointed with our visit. Not only was the service & overall store cleanliness horrific, the "well done" steak was charred on one end while the other 3/4 of it was bleeding. Out of 4 meals and an appetizer, the server only got 2 meals correct and no corrections were even made nor was there any type of compensation offered. It's safe to say that our family will not be wasting our hard earned money here again.
Went in to have a few drinks and appetizers, we watched the manager and the whole crew along with the hostess have a full fledge water gun fight. When our food came up it sat under the heat lamps so long that the bread on our burgers got hard as a brick and we ended up sending the food back. I was not pleased with the service at all and to top it off the manager had a water gun of her own and she participated in the whole ordeal. Never have I seen such a display of unprofessionalism in my life. Not saying I won't come back but it will be a while before I do.
Worst experience in an Applebee's restaurant EVER. The place was not packed for a Sunday afternoon, so should have been easy, or so we thought. Wrong drink served right off the bat. Took over 5 minutes to get a replacement. Then the appetizers were served with no plates or silverware. Had to flag down the waitress just to get silverware. Don't get me wrong, we didn't order anything special. Just the appetizer sampler and 2 bacon cheeseburgers with fries. Both burgers were not only over cooked, they were crunchy the edges were burned so badly. Then the waitress says oh I'm sorry we have to give you plastic silverware because we don't have any clean silverware to a group of 8 that ordered before we did. Service was horrible and the food wasn't any better. Never going back there again!!
Me and my mom Mrs. Johnson always enjoy ourselves. Good food. Good eats
