A great Applebees near the high way from Columbus to the South. The taste of food was satisfying, but the service was a little lazy and slow. Nobody greeted us at the front door about 2min. The AC also made the temperature so low. I asked the service to turn it up but it was still freezing.
Service was incredibly slow even though building was half empty. Server rarely came to the table and we never got refills. All the meat in our orders was burnt. Burnt burger, burnt bacon, burnt buns even. At least my fries were edible…. Horrible experience
I understand more them most people working in a restaurant at close sucks. The quesadilla was burnt and tasted like char. If that the best u can do. Please, do everyone a flavor and quit. It might also answer that question about what happen to Applebee's in Barboursville. We finished our appetizers before we got our drinks.
We went and the only place to sit was at the bar which was fine. We sat there and as we waited for our food and things we noticed the lady working the bar, kept reusing glasses. Just dipping used glasses down in the ice that you use for other customers just because there are straws in the drinks does not mean people are using them. Not to mention the can of pineapple juice that she was using for people's mixed drinks she stuck down in the ice that she again scooped into peoples glasses, that is very unsanitary.
Terrible experience tonight. We got there at 4:45 - the restaurant was dead with over half of tables open and still had to wait 20+ minutes. We finally got sat, ordered drinks and appetizers - our appetizers came, still no drinks. We were almost finished with our apps by the time we got our drinks. We put our order in, got a second round of drinks at the same time and our food came out and we were finished eating and still had not gotten our drinks - only to watch the bartender the entire time doing absolutely nothing but shove food in her mouth behind the bar, dropping food out of her mouth into god knows what - no urgency to do her job. Our server finally had to get with a manager to get our drinks, which also took forever.
Whoever the bartender was tonight, she should have never been behind a bar. Terrible, terrible service.
Also, used to love the sirloin. I got it medium - it was SO DRY and shriveled, I couldn’t believe they even would serve that. Mash potatoes used to be good too, very dry and flavorless.
We won’t be going back.
We waited over 35 minutes to get a table. Then placed our order once we were seated. Waited over an hour for cold food. Could not eat the Cole slaw. Waiter was nice.

By far the worst meal we've ever had at Applebee's. My husband said it was was like coming off of COVID when you've lost your sense of taste. Nothing had much flavor except for the barbeque ribs, but his coleslaw was very dry cabbage seemed old and tasted like it was bad and his french fries tasted stale.
My Chicken Alfredo didn't taste good either, didn't have any creamy rich parmesan flavor and the broccoli was almost raw.
Our waitress was nice but couldn't do anything about the food.
Very disappointed, shouldn't have had to pay for meals so poorly prepared.
Coming home from a road trip and ready for a tasty meal but wish that we would've have eaten here.
The worst food and service from a Applebee's we have ever had. Boneless wing were tough as nails, Both cheeseburgers were burnt crispy burnt. Waitress asked how was food, I told her about both she just turned around and walked away. Never again at this location. Very disappointed.
