We went to Applebee's in Santa Fe while visiting from California. We went before 6 pm to take advantage of their discounts on drinks and appetizers. We are vegetarian, so we ended up ordering the 2 entrees for $25, which came with an appetizer + the 2 entrees. What a deal!
We ordered two 20 oz draught beers for $6 and $7, an order of beer pub pretzels and cheese dip, 2 house side salads, an Impossible cheeseburger, a Chinese grilled chicken salad (minus the chicken), and a kid's Mac and cheese with a side of yogurt and strawberries.
The beers really hit the spot after a long day of hiking and sight-seeing. The pretzels tasted so good with the sea salt, beer cheese and ranch dips.
My Impossible burger was to die for! All the toppings were fresh and the bun was perfectly toasted, yet still moist. I got it with a side of fries.
My wife ordered the Chinese chicken salad (minus the chicken), and aside from it being a bit overdressed, she liked it very much.
My son nearly finished his max and cheese and devoured the yogurt and berries, too.
That was a lot of food for 3 people, and it was very reasonably priced, too.
Applebee's does a good job keeping the price of dining out reasonable for families, and we appreciate that. I highly recommend you try Applebee's again if you haven't been for a while. Their food is very good, and their service is good, too. Check out the photos of our meal.
I don't know what happened... This used to be one of the better hangout spots with good food and awesome drinks. Nowadays we can't even get utensils or a water without tracking down workers. We were there when it was happy hour and got over charged. When we went to find out waiter he was chitchatting in the corner with fellow co workers. He was not busy and he was never around. Check your receipts every one!
Service was a bit rough unfortunately. Got our food before we got our drinks which was a first. Just losing out on potential revenue by messing that up because I definitely would’ve gotten another. And checking out on the iPad thing simply didn’t work. Had to go back and forth with the waitress several times. Miss just normal check and credit card transactions. Fortunately the food was good and filled me until my stomach hurt. Just wish it was less painful to get. Think the problem is with management and understaffing the restaurant.
I loved going there for a beer when I used to drink great Happy Hour. I had the Sirloin,my sister had a salad and my nephew had the pasta. My steak was cooked perfectly my sister had the chicken changed on her salad and was very happy. The young lady that waited on us was very nice and a great waitress.
Half the tables were empty and there was a 20 minute wait. Can't understand, must be short on staff but was told it's always like this. Not acceptable for a big restaurant chain. They make you wait instead of sitting you down and giving you a drink. Very rude hostess.

Waited for some time to get our order taken, twenty minutes for our drinks to be served, salads another 15 - 20 minutes and no silverware. Our main dishes came out about an hour after we placed our order. None of this was getting served unless we brought it to someone's attention. The place was not busy at all. Our server was having issues with another table splitting their ticket and other staff was walking around or just hanging around talking to each other. I blame management. Staff standing around chatting is unacceptable. Food was mediocre at best. I will not take my family to eat here ever again. Please speak to your manager about addressing his/her staff about being professional and taking care of your customers.
Is it me or has Applebee's fiest lime chicken changed?!
The chicken was burnt and hard. Super disappointed!
Service was good despite the server having tables all over the restaurant.
