Stopped in on Memorial Day for the sole purpose that cooking breakfast, or anything really, seemed a hassle not worth the trouble. Thankfully, Apple Villa was open.
Called and confirmed no wait time with Madison who was as super polite and kind on the phone as she was in person. We were quickly seated at a table and Lily was by to gingerly take our order. She was patient and awesome and made ordering very easy.
We opted for berry lemonade and breakfast pizza along with corned beef hash and unsweetened ice tea. The lemonade was great, if not a little thicker than expected, but that wasn’t a showstopper. But the breakfast pizza and hash were truly exceptional and both well warrant a return visit.
The service, food, and overall atmosphere of the place were warm, welcome diner ambiance that made the place a pleasure to spend the morning of a day off. Proving that the awards Apple Villa has received for their breakfast seemed so effortless that we’re definitely looking forward to a return visit soon.
This was my first time. I had heard some good things about the place. It turned out to be the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We waited forever to get served and were told they lost our ticket for a while. When we got our food 1 hour later it was barely cooked. Over easy eggs still had clear slime visible. Someone came out to apologize and offered 2 gift cards to comp our next visit. We told them we were from out of town and would like to use those tickets for the crappy meal we were served today. They took those back from us and said that was how they get people to return but because we wouldn't be coming back they would not let us use them. I have never complained at a restaurant in my entire life until this one. Finally they gave us half off. Avoid this place if you can. One more thing. There was a constant smell of something burning in the kitchen. Not very appetizing.
It was just good. Nothing really stood out except the service was quick and friendly. I had an omelet with bacon and mushroom with a skimpy amount of hashbrowns. Cinnamon pancakes were a little dry, needed more icing. Bacon was hearty.
The pancakes were rich and delicious!! The egg plate was delicious. Fast and friendly service, clean dining area, great for families! Fresh coffee and tea, bubbly sodas, and we will be back!
First impressions are everything. We had a snappy waitress named Shirley, she was not very friendly & was cranky about us asking to order food after we had ordered drinks, mind you, we had already been waiting for a long time & had gone over the menu a few times. One of our water cups had red lipstick stain which was pretty gross. The food was decent. The breakfast burrito & napolitano crepes were pretty good, but their hash browns needed a little more cooking & some seasoning. The syrup in the chicken & waffles should be put on the side, the syrup made my son’s waffles too soggy.
I was quite disappointed. The food was mediocre and the service was average. I expected much more for the prices! Also, the menu’s were caked with food and the seats were ready for the dumpster.
A woman after mine own heart is one who keeps my coffee full ☕and my tummy full. ???? Thank God for my dearest Godsend waitress Shirley who stole my heart from the first cup of coffee to the last. Coffee was fresh and piping hot, just below, "sueing" hot. I love a good cup o Joe...
I was in the mood for a steaming stack of hotcakes. ???? Their flapjacks seemed to be selling like hotcakes, ???? so I tried the Crisp Bacon Cakes. ???? Perfect combo of sweet n' salty. ???? Will definitely be back to indulge in other items listed on the menu. ????
The food was very good and there was a lot of it. The bacon is especially good. It was thick and cooked to perfection. My breakfast came with 3 yummy slices! I opted for the raisin toast instead of a pancake and it was a good choice. I'll come back when in the area again.
