This is one of my favorite sub places.
Cuban bread is soft which makes the sandwich
A thin slice all the meat and stack it heavy
And they're sweet tea is on point every time!
You may have to wait because they have a lot of orders going out
The pizza was amazing!! I don't know what kind of crust it was it had a hint of garlic taste but not in a bad way, two out of four people said the crust was their favorite part. Also whoever did their seat cushions I love them the camo is to cute. Only suggestion is to get harder plates, foam plates n pizza not a good combo.
I grew up in this area. Hadn't eaten from here for about 16 years. Wasn't sure if they were open or shut down. Google them and saw that they don't take CARDS, only cash. That's how you know it's a true mom and pop spot. Went and got 2 subs, ham, and cheese with all the fixings. THEY DUD NOT DISAPPOINT. You get so much meat you can make 2 foit longs. But their bread is a mix of subway and Publix, but the subs can't be beat from nowhere. Support our local mom and pop shops. Hidden Gems.
Ahhh yes, Anthony's Pizza & subs, what an experience and NOT a good one. My company recently got an office near Anthony (not ideal for food options), on this particular day we had a few more mouths to feed and wanted pizza. I voted local business, as opposed to a pizza chain and we'd heard great things about this place, so we gave it a try. I initially called at 10:30 to place my order for three large pizzas, bread sticks, and cheesy bread, I also asked for extra ranch and marinara at this time, and was told 11:30 was not enough time to fill this order and to come at 1145 (for clarity, that is me being told it would take an hour and fifteen minutes to make three pizzas.) Upon arrival, right on time, I am then told it will be another 20 minutes. A little annoyed, but still understanding, I asked to go ahead and cash out and was told I could do so when I got my food. Well, by 12:30 when my order was finally ready, the restaurant line had filled up and I had to wait behind four different groups of people to finally make it the register to pay only to hear "cash only," when there are no signs for this and nobody told me when I ordered.(wouldn't it have been nice to have already had this handled like I requested while waiting? I thought so too,) I got cash and paid and then decided to check my order, the "12" bread sticks I ordered were literally 6 bread sticks, ripped in half by someone's fingers (photo for reference). I was also missing the extra sauces I ordered. I then requested the sauce only to be CHARGED FOR THEM after all of this. I would have requested to speak to a manager, but it was very clear the two girls working there (in their early 20's with NO clue what was going on) were there all by themselves and the owner had obviously jumped ship leaving them to their own devices. Bottom line, if you're looking for a great place in the NE area to enjoy amazing pizza and Italian from a local restaurant, you should definitely check out Wise Guys Pizzeria, where we decided to get our lunch from today instead. Enjoy this photo of the burnt and ripped bread fingers I received, today. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Food is very food, (wish they had gluten-free options) decent size portions, restaurantis not fancy but it's clean, ???? . They don't, however, take debit cards ????.
Generous, tasty food. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. I've never gotten anything there I didn't enjoy. Good variety. Prices are reasonable. Pineapple and canadian bacon, my favorite. Easy parking and and next to a convenient store and gas station. Bring cash since they dont take cards or checks.
The food is, and i cant stress the "almost" part of this review because with all business you can't do 100% 100% of the time but 99.99% is exceptionally outstanding for as much as I order and recommend them to EVERYONE. And service and atmosphere is a normal small town shop but always clean and friendly and didn't know how to give 4.9 , only to stay with the 99.99%lol.
First time for everything and this warrants another go! After the Facebook debate of who has best Subs in the county, I ran across this place being highly raved about! I’m glad I took the 20 min drive across county for it! Meaty subs and cheesy delicious pizza! Places like this don’t stay around for nothing, it’s totally worth it!
