I used to absolutely love this place, I don't go here too often but me and my family absolutely love their breadsticks and pizza here so last night we decided we would order a pepperoni pizza and a dozen breadsticks. The pepperoni pizza looked awful upon opening the box, it tasted like something was bad on it and nobody could eat any of it due to how awful it tasted. I'm very disappointed as this place used to be great but it seems it's only gone downhill. Only good thing out of it was that the breadsticks were fresh and tasted well.
You never know if the food will be good or not. But I will say breadsticks and dip are great
I haven't been to Anthony's in many years due to moving. I was in the area and decided I was going to enjoy my fav's from back in the day from the location that had closed since then. When I walked in to order I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, the smell of the dough took me back to my late teens which was some time ago lol. When I brought myself back from my memories the young lady that greeted me with a smile, she was friendly and polite. She took my order of a pizza square, 1/2 doz bread sticks with cheese dip and a Maurice salad then said it should be about 6 minutes. Another lady came to the front and did not seem happy I was there. While looking around most of the shelves were empty or had very few items and very dusty. About 15 minutes later (which wasn't an issue) my order was ready. Sitting in my car I was still pretty excited but that came to an end quite quickly. The bread sticks and cheese dip were ok, they were hot and soft as I remember but lacking the salt I recall and the cheese dip was creamy but lacked the garlic I remembered. The pizza was ok once I removed some of the sauce it was swimming under. The salad was a total failure for me. I don't think back in the day I really knew what a Maurice salad was, this is not a Maurice at all. Lettuce, Swiss cheese, turkey and I think and something that resembled saw dust (maybe roast beff?). Unfortunately I will not be back.
Great bread sticks and dip but make sure to check the dates on the items you're buying... almost everything I looked at while waiting for food was expired, even the dog food :( when I told her about the pops being expired the first time I went in their she was upset at ME I pointed it out, we just get bread sticks now. Nothing else. Check dates.
Every time I come back to Michigan Anthony’s pizza is on the must-have list. Pizza is great and the bread sticks with cheese dip is legendary!
A small party store with a good selection of beer and seltzers and all kinds of soda and other drinks. A lot of different snack options as well. My favorite thing here by far are the breadsticks and garlic cheese dip maybe the best in the area. Pizza isn't too bad either. Some good combo deals. Make sure to call in advance. Small parking lot and never too busy inside but may be a few minutes to get a pizza and breadstick order.
Literally drove out of my way to come here to introduce my 40 year old bf to the dip lol. Best breadsticks and dip I've yet to find
Just ordered a Italian sub and it was delicious..... highly recommend this place very friendly staff good food good prices
