Food was really good! We were told it was a lengthy wait however, we were seated quite promptly. Food came out hot and everything was delicious! I ordered the shrimp & grits w/chicken sausage (they offered that instead of the pork option which I loved). My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with bacon (she didn’t really care for the bacon, she’s very finicky about eating meat) our first visit last week. Our server did a good job as well. It was so good we came back this week. I ordered the same thing but with a veggie omelette without mushrooms. I’m not sure if it was the server Mr. Sam’s error but my omelette came back with mushrooms which I noticed immediately after the first bite. My daughter isn’t a big meat eater so instead of the bacon she ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. Everything was good. Sam could use some server etiquette as he sat down next to me in the mist of me taking my order in between myself in the other table but outside of that, the food is really good!
I recently visited Another Broken Egg Cafe for a family outing. My family and I were seated near the window. The decor is warm colors with alike color furniture accompanied by dimmed lighting. Isle seating may have you feeling claustrophobic. This breakfast spot gets busy. You may dine in or in their enclosed outdoor patio. I ordered the Traditional Day Starter, I added a waffle, and their house coffee. Everything was deliciously savory. Nice and friendly service; thank you Antoinette. Parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Parking out front for a fee. Decent prices.
Chauncey C was a wonderful sever! He was very attentive and kind. He ensured we had all we needed. The food was delicious!! I got a spiked coffee (south of the border), 2 buttermilk pancakes (moist, fluffy) & crab cake benny entree with the creamiest grits. Highly recommend!
Overpriced food with little flavor and of low quality. Server was cool about everything. I ordered the chicken and waffles with fresh fruit. I sent the chicken and waffles back because the first two bites were of cold chicken and a cool waffle. The replacement was not much warmer but I was so hungry. The food had no flavor either. The “fresh” fruit was awful. I asked to have the cost removed from the ticket. Second time I have been here and the second time I had such horrible food. The way things were run, it almost seemed like I was a hindrance to my server who was “busy” prepping drinks and chatting with other workers coming by to see her. She really needed to practice cleaning the bar area which had open soy milk containers on the counter and dirty dishes on and behind the counter. Not going back. If you like paying for the name and less than service and sub par food, this place is for you. I have eaten at other A.B.E. Restaurants with far better results, this ain’t one of those.
TL;DR there are a lot more options at this price point that are superior. Just walk down to North Star.
That being said, the location is very dirty. Obviously they are busy most of the time but the place is due for a consistent deep clean. Food caked in the creases of seats, oil/grease spots on the floor, sticky table tops, menus with food in them, and a disheveled bathroom.
If you want large portions that is one thing this place has going for it, but at the cost of any semblance of quality.
So glad we found this cozy brunch stop! The atmosphere was fun, the food was unbelievable! Cinnamon French toast for the win! Spiked coffee and biscuit beignets with house made honey orange marmalade. If only we had more days to try all the things!! The best part though…our server Chauncey. Wow! He restored my belief that customer service is not dead. Chauncey was so kind, made sure the coffee stayed hot and gave all the best recommendations. We would come back just for that alone! Our waiter was really great. Chauncey was friendly, smiled, ask if we needed anything else and served us coffee throughout our dining. I ordered Bourbon pecan banana pancakes. The bourbon sauce was very good, scattered pecans gave a pleasant crunch, but the pancakes were more doughy than I like. My husband said his omelet was dry and small for a serving. I would like to visit again and try something else on their menu.
I been wanting to go here for a while. Yesterday noon, my boyfriend took me here to surprise me. Me and my bf enjoy the food and the cold brew smores (coffee, honestly my favorite) . I feel like one bartender was ingoring us while me and my bf sat there for 4 to 5 mins without our menus after getting seated at the bar while another bartender ( shaniya) was kind and sweet, gave us the menus, and took our order after she was done helping another guest. I appreciate she was patience with me as I have social axiteny sometimes. Other than that, food was good, shaniya was very kind and the food support (a kind lady who gave us our food) was kind and sweet. The one thing I want to say is the utensils were not clean properly, so i asked for plastic utensils instead. Other than that, it was nice.
