Best KPortal Reviews
My daughter and I stopped in for lunch as we like to try different restaurants all around. We were both very satisfied with the service and the food was amazing. We both will be going back and trying another new dish. ????????????
Don’t let favorable reviews fool you, this place is a mess. Please save your time and money.
Let’s start with the service: I stood in line for 30min with my 1 year old in my arm, while they allowed whoever they were familiar with to either cut the line or get seated first. The host clearly prioritized certain people over others; and after standing alone in an empty line, just to yet again be cut by a random walk-in was the last straw.
The food: Sometimes it’s great, most times it’s not. I’be ordered here 4 times and only once, did I enjoy my meal and not feel like throwing it back up. The consistency is mediocre and you can expect your food to be frozen cold by the time you get home if you are picking up.
The facilities: Right from
The moment you walk in the presence of mold and mildew is clearly noticeable. The interior roofing looks like it’s partially collapsing the neatest is poorly kept.
Needless to say I will never order nor recommend anyone to order from here again.
It was pretty good, first African food I have had, the staff was ok (weren't mean weren't nice) the food tasted pretty good but the beef was tough and the fries tasted old.
We ordered on doordash. They took a full hour before they even gave the food to the dasher. When we got it, the fish was rotten, they gave us a rotten egg, and the chofi was entirely fat and bones. Awful.
I ordered banku and okra stew, the stew was room temperature while the fish was as cold ice. Plate was hot meaning they had microwaved for couple mins but acted like they had just made the dish. They took back the food and warmed it some more. Another turn off was; they brought me one of their big colored bowls to wash my hands in meanwhile the guys on the next table were using a similar bowl as stew plate... everything was disgusting!!! I wouldn't recommend the place, never going back!!!!
Nice Ghanaian food. Good sized portions, you'll have leftovers. Food is freshly made to order.
Service can be slow, so be prepared if you dine in or order take away.
I am highly disappointed in this restaurant now.
I was a native to Worcester before moving to Minnesota. I always ate at anokye cause they WAS the best. Minnesota doesn’t have any Ghanaian restaurants so anytime I come to visit Worcester, I always order here and than I would take some good back with me to Minnesota. On Friday (7/10/2020). I had just arrived in Worcester and decided to go to anokye. I ordered $40 worth of food. The cashier said 20 mins. I returned in 30 and STILL had to wait an additional 10 mins. That’s fine. I take the food home and only ate this food picture below all day. Okro and banku. This was at about 5 pm. The banku was soft and sticky. The Okro smelled and tasted burnt. The okro wasn’t properly cut to fit the stew. I managed to eat 3 bits of the banku and threw it away. I ate about half the okro stew with regular fufu. By 5 am...I had diarrhea. For about 24 hrs...I was ill. At first I didn’t suspect the food. But the next day (Saturday) after I ate it, my mom decide to eat some with the other food I ordered. She too experience the same thing I did along with my 6 yr old sister. When we asked fellow Ghanaians about banku and okro...they told us that the picture isn’t how it’s properly prepared. Some even said that anokye isn’t good. One even said that the banku was probably leftover and stale that was sold to me because it’s not suppose to be sticky. We threw everything we bought from anokye out. I’m so highly disappointed in them now. They have always been good but they have now lost a customer. During this virus...let’s be mindful of where we eat and what we serve to people.
Food is good, atmosphere is nice but SERVICE is quite bad and they don't seem to care at all ????
