Best KPortal Reviews

Very nice traditional pub in a great location by the water, with a west facing sunset view. The food was also good, would not hesitate to recommend this place for a nice meal or night out. Note the batter of the calamari starter was very nice and less coarse and greasy than it may look in the pic and the aioli (garlic mayonnaise) was home made.
An amazing spot, so popular with the locals on a Saturday afternoon. The room was basic but did the job and who visits places to stay in their room? Outstanding value for money, £51 for a double room AND it includes a cooked breakfast! I definitely recommend it.
Lovely, traditional pub on the water front with lots of pub benches outside to enjoy the sun.
We came at dinner time mid week in March, relatively limited menu and served until 2pm - despite this, we enjoyed a delicious fish and chips and chicken, chips and beans which were well portioned and tasty.
Staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Very dog friendly with dogs allowed anywhere in the pub.
Nicely decorated inside with a nautical feel.
Visited a couple of times during my stay in North Wales and the food and service were excellent. Warmly welcomed by the staff who were friendly and attentive. There was no need to book on the days I visited, but would expect that it can be quite busy. Small car park at the front of the building for around 5 vehicles, but parking is available within a short distance.
With outside seating also available overlooking the estuary and right next to the castle, it's a great location
Very nice meal outside this pub overlooking the Menai straights with the castle behind. Plenty of outside seating and considering how busy they were, the young people did a good job. Not gourmet dining, but for the price, location, ambience, and buzz, a great place for a pint, fish and chips, and a sunset.
Food was terrible, lukewarm at best, 'jerk' chicken was dry, over cooked and tasteless.
I was dining with my wife who had Lasagne which was tasteless and looked anemic. Both meals were well overpriced as well ( my meal was off the specials board !!!!)
We sat outside as we had our dogs with us, the tables were dirty and peppered with seagull poop. It was a disgrace. Suffice to say we will not be going back.
Firstly, when they say they are dog friendly, they really are. Plenty of dog water bowls and no one batters an eyelid, which made us feel at home.
Food was served and although I do not eat at top quality hotels, I know good food when I'm served it. The chef knows flavours whilst maintaining a home food feel.
Rooms are not pretentious which suited us brilliantly as we were not on edge with our dog being with us, so this helped us to stay relaxed.
Staff, other guests and locals were all super friendly.
Would definitely visit again.
We had a great lunch here. Friendly service and good value. Location is terrific ????
