I am Hungarian and I wanted to try the food here for long time. Today was the day. Well it’s Romanian, but they’re neighbors (sic). :) Everything was delicious!!! Very friendly staff as well. Bc of my health conditions I cannot go out often, but luckily they’re delivering to my area! Me and my friend had great time.
I’ve been to Romania a few times and I have friends there who I stay with. I live Romanian food and wine. I’ve also been to the other branch of this restaurant in East London, which is really good and friendly. The food here was good, but, there are problems.
The first problem is a cultural one. In London (but not elsewhere in the U.K.), Romanian businesses can seem genuinely surprised and a little confused to have British customers. I don’t k ow why this is, I’ve lived in many different countries and I eat out a lot and this really isn’t something you find elsewhere - but it’s a problem and it comes across as not wanting you there. We went in, about half twelve for lunch, and there was nobody there. The guy behind the grill did all he could to avoid speaking or smiling or being in any way welcoming, and the waitress seemed like she would probably have rather we were not there as well. Anyway, we persevered and she came round to the idea of having customers eventually. The food was good, just what you expect -‘and really it should be busier, but you see the problem? Anyway, about half way through the meal the music changed and we were treated to dance music so loud that the speakers couldn’t handle it and it was impossible to have a conversation, or indeed to think. We ate, paid and left quickly. When we left and drove past later the staff were outside having a smoke and actually seemed much happier. I wouldn’t go back, obviously, but it can probably be quite good if you are luckier.
The best restaurant I've ever been. Delicious food, big portions, beautiful place inside and outside as well, friendly staff. No cons. I'm sure that I'll get back.
The food is extremely tasty! I'm impressed. Honestly, compliments to the chef, you're doing an amazing job, guys ???????? I've been ordering food from them for a while now and their meals always exceed my expectations. Excellent takeaway service, the staff is really polite and the food is always warm, not to mention that all the ingredients are fresh and they taste amazing ????
Ordered online last month. I was surprised of the quality and sizes of each portion. I ordered again now! Also recommended the place to others! The food is suitable for every nationality. Even if some dishes are traditional Romanian ones. Well done guys! Keep the standards high!
I regretted that the food I ordered was inedible. the chicken wings were rotten, the liver was very dry. the mashed potatoes alone were edible, but they were few. and I paid £ 23 for nothing. I tried to call them, of course no one ansews
We have ordered many times from this restaurant and we ve got excellent service and the food is amazing, BUT this time they forgot to put the polenta and the onions in my salad. When we called them they said that they can't just refund the polenta but they can create a cheque for next time we were ordering. My questions were: how will you know me when i will order next time and if i will order after 6 months will you still remember me? The guy on the phone was apologetic but i still didn't got what i paid for. Maybe i will never order from them anymore and cancel payment for unreceived goods. I still have to decide.
