I wanted to try the Venison Burger but they were out that day, so went for a lucious chicken burger meal instead. I quite liked it. And the price was sort of same as what you expect from these places.
It did get quite popular during lunchtime and the ladies couldn't keep up with clearing the tables so we had to move some bits over to a breakfast bar table.
Cozy and delicious, I had the fish & chips and my partner had the Skye Burger and they were both filling and delicious.
A perfect little spot to escape the wind & rain
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Don’t come here if you have any other choices.
Price more expensive than London, service worse than a gas station, food quality worse than KFC.
We waited 25 mins for some fish and chips which clearly wasn’t worth spending 16.95 pounds each. and seemed no different than a microwave meal.
Asked one of the waitresses to see if they can speed things up ‘cause we’re in a rush. Then some waitor came in VERY RUDE saying they’re NOT a’fast food’ place and we need to be patient. Then left leaving no room for explanation.
But tbh the price and quality are both worse than a proper real fast food restaurant. In addition, there’s no service at all, the waitresses at the bar kept ignoring us and going for other people first. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Some meals weren't available at all times which was confusing.
The staff was super nice and patient and the place itself was very lovely and cozy.
Visited Portree while touring Scotland for 5 weeks in our campervan. Our van was in the garage for a while day and we were essentially homeless for the day with our dog. We turned up at 10am and sat outside for tea, coffee and breakfast. We had sausage and bacon rolls and they were lovely. We went back for lunch about 2pm and food was lovely. Great atmosphere and the owners cocker spaniel is mooching around and he is gorgeous. Dog friendly place, highly recommend.
Incledibly dog friendly, there was lots of space so our dog didn't have to be stuffed under the table, he could lie next to our table and rest. Staff were very friendly especially about our dog, making sure to ask if he was a service dog or if they could pet him. There was also a dog water bowl right in the entrance and a clear sign that shows that dogs are welcome.
The food was very good and brought out quickly, it tasted freshly made with good quality ingredients, the fish was great and not too greasy and the sauce was AMAZING.
There was some traditional music playing the background which just made the atmosphere feel so nice. The building is an old church which was repurposed into this restaurant.
Overall loved this place and would definitely recommend
Both the take away fish and chip shops were closed so we managed to get take away from here. A bit more pricey than would have paid at the other 2 fish and chips shops but the fish and chips were delicious.
1 star off as asked for one without peas and tartar sauce, and both arrived with sides included. Not a massive issue as just scraped it from one to the other.
Staff did seem a bit stressed as it was extra busy due tomogher establishments being closed.
The food is a little bit pricy, drinks are fine. Foods are delicious. Upstairs was closed, so there were only a few tables available (outdoors could have been okay, but it was windy). All in all I liked it.
