I went to the Salon in April 2020 for a magic perm and I was happy with the results. I went back in March 2021 for the same treatment. This time, the result was awful. I washed my hair 3 days later and my hair looked like a burnt Christmas tree. I complained to the salon and they asked me to come in 5 days later. They saw my burnt hair and refunded $270.00 which was the cost of magic perm. YooJin did apologize for burning my hair and offered to do some treatment but the trust was lost and I couldn't let her touch my hair again.
It's 3 months later and my hair looks awful everyday and I can't really do anything to it until it grows out. I have burnt hair that falls out and breaks I am always afraid to comb or brush it because I lose so much hair every time I do so.
I really didn't want to write a negative review but I don't want to see this happing to anyone else. I have very strong thick hair and it takes a lot of mistreatment to damage my hair. The stylist Yujin booked three other appointments while I was being handed over to a trainee which I thought was unprofessional. She cut and blow dried 3 other peoples hair and did not pay attention to what was happening to my hair. She did however hurriedly came over to my chair to pat my hair with some liquid while the chemical was in my hair. When I asked her what it was, she told me it was water. I understood why she did that after my treatment. My hair was burning and I think she panicked. What I don't understand is why she continued to let her trainee work on me with the hot flat iron when she saw that my hair was over treated.
You can see from the photos which was taken on 6/15/2021, what a mess and the broken hair. All I know that it is embarrassing when I go to other peoples homes because I leave a trail of my hair everywhere on their floor. It's not a few strands, it' a handful and they ask why I am losing so much hair!!
I went to get a massage and the masseuse could not believe how much hair was falling to the floor!
Please make sure you ask the stylist if she has multiple appointments booked while tending to your hair. I don't think YooJIn is a bad stylist, I think she was neglectful during my appointment with her.
I have been coming here for a year now. The best hair salon in town and Bergen County. The staff is super friendly. Service is excellent. Hannah is so talented and knowledgeable. She knows exactly my style without need me to say much. She cuts my hair and color them. She always does wonderful job. I get so many amazing compliments all the time.

Being a person of color with really tough to handle kinky coily hair I was really impressed by how my Japanese straightening perm turn out and with how everyone handled my hair with surprising gentleness. Being natural for years, I know how much patience is required to even detangle my hair, but Stella was great and showed greater patience then even I do with my hair on most days.
Coming into the salon, everyone was obviously apprehensive, which is something I was expecting with someone of my hair texture. Stella sat me down and warned me that the treatment probably wouldn't take on my hair that smoothly, but that she would try her best. And try her best she did! She went above and beyond her best. She made my hair, the hair that I had given up on and was ready to cut off, straight and manageable! Honestly, I'm impressed at how soft it felt I couldn't stop smiling!
Thanks Stella and everyone else that worked on my hair, for the professionalism and the patience. I would totally recommend anyone to try their Japanese straightening perm. It actually works!
The staff here are very nice and accommodating to their clients. Environment is very comfortable and very clean, and I absolutely love my new hair color :) here are pictures of it in different lightings and angles
The staff here are super nice! My partner gets his haircut from Hannah and she always catches our request and does the best hair cut. We have been going to this place for several years and recommend to those who are searching for new hair salon:)
I had a chance to visit Amitie and was really impressed. The service and the types of treatment available were excellent. This is definitely the best Salon in Palisade Park, NJ.
The staff is remarkably affable, and the hair stylists truly excel in their craft. The overall pricing is fair and reasonable. I've been a loyal customer for abour a year, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
went for a color and cut from tony. all the staff were so sweet! even though it was a busy saturday tony and ashley took time and care into my hair, and it showed. love my hair and my experience here
