Had another shop quote me $1,900 for a cat + exhaust work. These guys did it for $780, and had it done in only a few hours. The car looks & sounds great, and I just got a new mechanic. Also, they were very pleasant to deal with. Very highly recommended!
Usually I brag about this place to people but yesterday they really annoyed me. Walked in there with a $161 quote to replace my muffler from my mechanic (Bowersox Auto) and ended up leaving there paying $429 to get my car back. I was told on the phone the pipe coming into the muffler was rusted as well they needed to replace it and it would cost another $245 to fix, the final cost was $268 more. Then later as I was messaging my mechanic next door American Muffler apparently had an issue putting together that section of exhaust and had to order a larger piece of exhaust. They didn't explain they had to replace like 3/4s of the exhaust and it would take longer to get the parts and fix, plus they never called me back to tell me the issue they had. Dropped it off at 8:30 am with an appointment didn't get it back until after 1 pm because of waiting for parts. I told them I usually don't question them on their knowledge or prices but I was really annoyed by the situation. I then got excuses from them saying oh it's how much prices are now for parts and oh blame Biden. After they were done I looked at the exhaust pipes and told them they look really low to the ground, and they told me that's how it is because of previous work done to the exhaust. Also I asked them about a slight leak in the front part of the exhaust so they looked at it and told me it was the flex pipe and catalytic converter which would cost $600 to replace geez! ???????? I told them that was ridiculous! They were lucky to get two stars and only because they told me their work is warranted for 1-2 years. Oh well I will now be looking to go to other places for muffler service because of that B.S. yesterday at their shop.
They are great mechanics. They charge 5% extra if paying with credit card so have the cash if possible so you can save money

Had some work done about a month ago but haven’t really driven the car since. Heard some rattling today when I decided to finally drive it. Called them up had me bring it in and they fixed it on the spot. Definitely will be coming here for service when needed and would very highly recommend.
Wow, just had my car inspected at American Muffler and it was so great!! Done in no time and the price so reasonable...great service...friendly....I just can't say enough...I'll be sending my friends to you ... thank you again!
