Closed in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week. No one answered the telephone. For sale sign on the door, so don't bother

Mark has always been upfront and honest with the work needed done and the cost. Extremely fair pricing on everything I've ever needed. Been coming to him for all my mechanic work since my very first car @ 16, so over 20 years.

I have never posted a review until now, but the service and quality at American auto deserves a great review! Mark, the owner, treats you like family and goes up and beyond the call of duty. I ran over a pothole late at night. I called to leave a voicemail to figure out hours for the following day. To my surprise, Mark answered and not only offered to stay open late the next day so I could bring my car in after work, but also drove to my car that night. He provided enough repairs that same night so I could go to work in the morning and not have to Uber or use AAA to get my car to his shop. I didn’t even have to ask. He also gave me a beyond fair price for all the work he and his son put into my car. I was honestly so touched by his care and compassionate nature. Believe me, I didn’t think I would ever be leaving a public review—let alone about a mechanic. Use American auto, you won’t regret it.

Woow… the owner and the owner employees are super nice, if you can’t find your car or anything around tower grove they will help you to find it or they will give you a ride. I am very thankful for their help. I really needed it they did not hesitate to help you.

This place is great. After having some shaking, I took my car to firestone and they told me I had a slew of things wrong. I ended up leaving because I wanted a second opinion. American is right by my house so I figured I would give it a try. I was able to get in no problem and the staff went the extra mile looking over my car. They were honest and told me that all the things I had suspected were just fine, and the fix was minimal. Today I used them again and am just as happy with the service.

I had a phenomenal experience with the owner and have to rave about everything from the service to my car and me and the prices. Mark went out of his way to help me with my rental car as well as the car he fixed in a fast, effective manner. I will definitely bring my car back here!!

Went in to have my vehicles safety and emission tested. Service was quick and the owner fixed a broken cruise control lever for free (because it was annoying). Customer service is top notch.
