While heading out of state 8+ hours for a trip to home and visiting family my belt completely shredded + other issues from that happening… We were on I-70 waiting for AAA to give us a tow and looking for auto repair shops, then we came across AMD Auto, which was conveniently open later than other places! Dustin answered, came to look at my vehicle for me during 4th of July holiday! I don’t know of any other places/people who would drive out of their way to check on someone with auto troubles from a business stand point let alone when they’re preparing for the weekend! We are forever thankful for Dustin for being so understanding and helpful. He even checked on us half way home to make sure everything was going good!!
We had a 3 week wait, because Dustin is so booked. I see why. We weren't without a car, so the wait was no big deal. When our appointment came tho, Dustin was right on it. Had it done the same evening that he had us bring the car over. He even picked up my husband, who otherwise would have had to walk the 3 miles to get the car. Definitely would/will recommend to ANYONE who needs car service in our area. Definitely will use again. Being new to the area, we lucked into a good repair service first go round. Thank you Dustin for proving the good reviews to be spot on!
Dustin took care of my kid.
She was on her way back from a visit to a friend in Illinois when her AC compressor exploded. The car was not functional and I (2 hours away) was unable to help. The car was Towed to AMD Auto, Dustin took care of the issue immediately by temporarily bypassing the compressor so my kid could make it home.
He went completely out of his way, opened his home and went to town to find the belt necessary to get her back to us.
I greatly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
Dustin was great. He did the timing belt on my Jetta for far less than any big shop / dealership could have. Kept me updated through the process, and was very easy to communicate with. Will for sure recommend AMD to anyone needing work to their car.
We ran into trouble with our car flagging error codes on our trip with three kids from Chicago to TN during a holiday weekend. Dustin not only was the only guy picking up the phone, he went to extra mile late Saturday night to get us rolling again - and we made it home! Thanks so much! Wonderful service for an awesome price. Dustin went above and beyond to help me out and make sure my car was fixed and that i understood what was happening every step of the way. He even took another look at my car when something unrelated came up to double check everything was alright, and did his best to make everything as easy as possible. 10/10 would reccomend AMD to anyone and will be coming back for sure if i have any other car troubles
Friendly, honest, and kind. Spend 5 minutes with me and you'll know I'm completely car illiterate. I know next to nothing about them and how to tell when there's trouble, etc. AMD Auto could have taken advantage of that and taken my money to repair something not broken. Instead he was honest and helpful and explained what was going on and why. Absolutely would recommend!
They recently took in my truck after an issue with it pulling too much air in and idling extremely high. Discovered that the air intake manifold had a crack from where it hit the underside of the hood due to shoddy worksmanship from a different mechanic who did not mount the motor properly and was dishonest about several other areas.
Dustin had the new intake ordered and installed in four days, fantastic turnaround time. Straightforward, honest, and worked with me every step of the way! I am definitely going back to fix what was already supposed to have been "fixed" and more soon enough!
