Fantastic meals very helpful friendly staff. Cater for coeliacs with good knowledge of cross contamination. Outside is a bit run down but new owner took over during lockdown. I wish him all the luck in the world with the business. That was our first time eating there but will definitely be back after the wonderful service and meals we received.

Looks pretty shabby from the outside, but the food is superb! The creamy garlic mushrooms were sublime and the chicken tikka pakora was scrumptious. Main courses were good too, but the starters were the best. The lease holders were wonderfully friendly and helpful and we were able to bring the dog in too, which was a bonus. She even got a couple of Bonios! I don't know what the rooms are like in the hotel, but the food was great. Well worth a visit.

We are just back from spending the night there....a wee anniversary present from my sister. ....what a charming place. The room was very spacious which pleased me as I have MS and, although I have very small mobility problems, I like to do some yoga postures in the morning to increase my flexibility. The room was big enough for me to do so. The choice of food was fantastic and our meal was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend it
Stayed here for a night and everything was spot on.
Dinner was exceptional, couldn’t of asked for anything more. Good portion sizes and very reasonably priced too. Staff attentive and polite.

Had the talked about Fish and Chip Friday Special. Yes it is good. Fresh and served with bread and butter abd a pot of tea or coffee. Cannot fault the friendly attentive staff. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. Yes we will be back. Thank you for real good old fashioned service. A real treat.
Under new 'management' since November. Accommodation is tired but there are plans for refurbishment. Food is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful but the management leaves a lot to be desired. We were walkers staying for 2 nights at New Year but unable to get breakfast until 11am on New Year's day. When we asked if we could have it earlier this was refused. At least one family left without breakfast. This did not leave much time for a decent walk given the short daylight hours. Better on the 2nd - 9.30 but the chef had to be phoned and didn't turn up until 10am. Would not recommend a stay here unless the owners get their act together and make customer care a priority.
