Really lovely restaurant in the heart of King’s Cross- I can’t believe I never saw it before! I ordered the bruschetta as a start and green pesto pasta for my main, and my friend ordered the lasagne, and we loved it. Also had a few cocktails which was nice! The atmosphere was nice, very sophisticated, and the service was lovely. Definitely would recommend!
Staff were really rude when we arrived. Asked where the toilet was and got laughed at. Had rang earlier to make a reservation and when we turned up they acted like they had no idea about it. Restaurant was empty when we arrived which tells you all you need to know. Ordered the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce medium rare. It arrived with a white sauce which had whole peppercorns at the bottom which definitely wasn’t peppercorn sauce. When I raised this to the staff I got offered a pepper grinder instead and another member of staff came over to the table and said “what” very bluntly and rudely. Steak was cooked well done and was very chewy. Veg it came with had a horrible taste. No check backs on the food or a hint of service. They then tried to charge £25 service charge after providing the bare minimum of “service”
Wow very yummy. I don’t understand the low ratings. Great customer service, super kind and gives strong smiles and a lovely atmosphere. I am super picky about risotto and they met my expectations. The chicken was really moist. The pizza was like NYC/Philly which is a hard comparison. The sticky pudding was nice and warm and so yummy good. Reasonable prices. Three levels for big groups. Nice clean bathrooms. The location is right across the underground and two train stations. Will come again when I’m in town.
Already had an update and I haven’t left yet ????????????????
Ok they are so kind and so sweet my husband and adult child went back to the hotel so I could take care of the bill and just chill for a little bit and finish my drink and they came over and gave me this drink shot and it was so yummy. But how thoughtful is that ????????????❤️come on people That’s what makes restaurant outstanding. They go out of their way to make you feel special. This restaurant is a place to go.
I visited here on Tuesday 23/4/24 for a reunion; there were 27 of us and we had the downstairs room to ourselves. We had travelled from all over the country, the restaurant is central and easy to find.
The food and service were great, reasonably priced, the organisation was superb and staff were friendly and efficient.
Thank you to all the staff for making our meet up so enjoyable. x
Warm welcome and excellent service at this restaurant where we gathered with former colleagues for a reunion. Food was good. We were in the basement (understandably, as a large group of c25 people) so missed natural light, but otherwise everything was fine.
Recently had dinner here and enjoyed the italian cuisine paired with a few glasses of wine. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and quite easy navigate across from kings cross station!
That was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Beautiful restaurant and warm, friendly family atmosphere. My son had the pasta bolognaise and after he finished he asked for another!! I ordered the second as a takeout and they boxed up my daughter’s pizza to take away. Wish I had found this gem earlier (as visiting London for 4 nights) but I will definitely be back whenever I come back to London ????????
I went yesterday to this restaurant and the food was good but I noticed they who seems to be the manager mistreat his employees, he was swearing at them and calling them names because it was very busy. Very unprofessional and unfair towards hard working people, the staff were stressed but still managed to deliver an excellent customer service. Food was good
