A nice place to stop for a drink, food, or both. It has a very relaxed feel. We had the hummus and it was very good. We snacked, had a couple drinks, and relaxed for a while without ever feeling any pressure to move along. Will definitely be back.
Zorba's Restaurant was fully seated so I had to walk through the entrance in the wall to the adjoining bar "Alpha Bar" and eat at the bar. I had 2 servers a trainer and a trainee. I ordered canned soda along with the meal that came from Zorba's. I already reviewed the entrees from Zorba's, somewhat disappointing. The service, while cheerful was slow. This was a Monday night, makes me wonder what Friday and Saturday night is like! Midway through my meal I asked the server (Trainer) for a 2nd can of soda and she cheerfully responded "Sure! However, it didn't arrive until I was putting the last few bites in my mouth. I was an overnighter in Sault Ste Marie. I'm sure most of their traffic is transient. Both Alpha Bar and Zorba's need to raise their standards.
Your average neighborhood bar, friendly bar keeps, good cold beer , and cocktails. Neat old fireplace and bar, if you are hungry go ahead and order some great Greek food. As far as I'm concerned when a business has been around for 102 years, run by the same family you are doing something right.
Always great service and atmosphere. Will is a true artist at what he does.
This was our go to place for many years back when big Jean and Little Jean were my favourite bartenders.
Bartenders were great! Quick to refill your drink, friendly and fun, even DJ'd on sound system at own cost (owner should consider offering staff free plays) to improve atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Great good and service. Too bad they don’t have the darts anymore. Good place to catch a game too
