The bloke was friendly enough and portions are fair considering the prices but all that was ruined for me by the fact I arrived 15mins prior to it opening up, waited patiently for 10 mins past the opening time, even watched him lift the shutters etc. I had chips, and 2 large batt saus and curry sauce. The chips were nice, but one of my sausages was not even warm and the other was piping hot fresh. Wasn't impressed to realise I'd been sold yesterday's food that's been nuked ( it came from the hotbox no chance it could go so cold and stale in such short time ) So safe to say I didn't eat that one.
But what got me was the that its a chippy with a quirk... alcohol, condoms, paraphernalia, magnets the whole shabbang I felt like I was in a market stall. Its a shame about the food. So if I ever do go back I'll be requesting all food cooked fresh ????
Great food;service
Tiny little backstreet chop shop. Locals clearly mystified by our arrival, clothes, language, car, meal choice. Sometimes you realise there are different worlds.
Weird little chippy/corner shop. Nice food though and great old school prices ????
I've been going here for years, I've waited 20 minutes for 3 battered fish, the other 2 were okay, while mine had no actual fish Inside. 2.5 out of 5
Asked for salad in a tray for £1.50 & got a small bag of salad probably worth 99p????
The gaffer is always there to help, MASSIVE portions and the best chippy on the block..
