Food was terrific. We sat outside and service was a little scattered. We didn't have one dedicated server, and one often didn't know what the others had already taken care of (or not). That could have been a consequence of choosing an outside table or just the way they operate. Even so, our food was delivered quickly and the only time we waited was when we were finished and ready for the check.
As for the food, everything was delicious. If you like strongly flavored things, the grilled veggie appetizer is a winner. The baklava, mentioned in other reviews, was easily the best I've ever had. Not dripping in sugar, but buttery and crispy and just sweet enough. The Turkish tea and coffee are both quite strong!
Nice setting and good service. Not the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. Gluten free option removes the rice, pita and anything fried. My lunch consisted of a large salad and three small pieces of meat. Would recommend getting dinner serving if you can’t have rice or pita. If I didn’t have a gluten allergy I would have enjoyed it much more. They do offer a gluten free menu. The Turkish tea was delicious!
Cozy restaurant with delicious Turkish cuisine. Varied dishes and a good selection of desserts. Great place for a family lunch or dinner. If you follow a Mediterranean diet, then this restaurant is for you. And very comfortable tables outside.
We just ate here for first time. Lamb chops were delicious. Also had Turkish Tea. The baklava was to die for. Absolutely recommend trying this. Nice variety on menu; good for gluten free and vegetarian. Cant wait to eat here again next time we are in town. It’s close to the Byham , Heinz and other theaters also. Grab a bite before the show!
The atmosphere is amazing, everything is clean and nice, the service is good and friendly, but the problem is the food. Firstly, the food was brought late, well, I understand that the fish takes a long time to cook and everyone waited quietly, and secondly, don’t the cooks know which food is cooked quickly and which is cooked late? While they were preparing the fish, my chicken got cold and they brought it cold, I reported this and hoped that they would fix everything and cook another one, but no, they just put it in the microwave and heated it up, what is that? It’s kidding or what? I'm very disappointed with the chefs that they don't know such basic things.
Great food. The intimate dining area is clean and simple. The staff are kind and welcoming. Fresh house bread was brought out to start, along with a flavored oil. There is a large selection of hot teas available. The hummus was excellent, as was the lentil soup. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes.
Very very pricey!! Good food but are salads were 28 bucks After adding meat ( which was like 6 tiny pieces of chicken)
