Cannot even get an appointment with my actual gp anymore and then they want to offer outpatient access or a phone call over a week later I shall be making a formal complaint to this affect as I have severe mental health and are very uncomfortable when having to deal with different people each time I visit when this is clearly necessary they need to reduce the amount of patients they have
On hold for over 20 Minutes, Ask for an Appointment get told it would be over a week and if it's not good enough phone 111 and then get hung up on !!! I hadent even finished, I had another question, Arrogant Kno*heads
Update: Still can't even keep to there own appointment, Been booked in for an appointment for 3 weeks for 4th Jan & They have just phoned saying they are cancelling my appointment and can't give me another appointment so I will be put back on the waiting list
I wish risedale surgery would go back to being its own little surgery. It was easier to see my own doctor back then, if I want to see my own doctor now I have to wait till after Christmas. Plus they didn't refuse to see you if you happen to be 5 mins late.
EDIT...could you please tell me how I go about making a complaint please.
The management of this lovely facility is a disgrace only a few years old and lack of care and maintenance is obvious but my big crib is the carpark they installed state of the art barriers which never operate meaning locals park there for all day free parking leaving patients to find alternative parking shame on you the management team
my first appointment was back in january (it's september now). what was initially a minor ache due to an ingrown toenail has now evolved into horrific pains and agony due to the incompetence of the doctors who operated on me. they overdosed me on anaesthetic and forgot to apply the remedy that prevents the re-growth of the toenail, and ever since i have been chasing their tail trying to get another appointment, unfortunately to no avail. now that it's been 9 months of excruciating pain and disability, i'm now going to university across the country with a horrid toe. heaven hopes that the university services will be any better than here, and judging by my experiences with this place, they will be. 1 star, would rate lower if possible. do not be surprised if you find your service from here to be lacking.
EDIT: well, here i am. over a year after my first experience, after my second op. and i must say, i had a wonderful experience. the ladies who carried it out were kind and careful. much more was done in terms of procedure in making sure i was comfortable and safe. no pain, quick, easy. overall a surprisingly good time. bumping it up from 1 star to 3.
This place is absolutely terrible, I've been with the surgery for over 20 years and its just got worse and worse. After having brain surgery and being in a coma after a car accident, I have not seen one doctor, and cannot even get a phone call back off a doctor. The receptionist also kept relaying the wrong information which all added to the wrong information being given. Absolutely shocking practice .
Horrendous. I arrived for my appointment at 9
05 checked in .Ask receptionist if I had time to use bathroom. Which I did waited to be called. After 20mins ask security man if I had been forgotten he replied probably running behind
10mins later asked receptionist she phoned nurse. I had been called while I was in bathroom .so had to make another appointment. Not happy at all
Risedale surgery has GPs that diagnose you without even seeing you, and then you have others promising that they will do absolutely everything they can and then they forget after waiting months for a scan absolute joke
