Best KPortal Reviews

Wow! As a first timer, the bartender made sure to recommend me the best beers due to what I normally drink. He was a nice gentleman and went the extra mile to see if I could add some toppings on their breakfast pizza. We ended up ordering a couple of beers, breakfast pizza w/gravy, and Hermazian traditional wings, and bloody Maria.
Straight 4’s. Appetizers chicken wings x large portion with bbq sauce slathered goopy a bit much and $30 expensive. Ranch dressing really sweet. Nachos appetizer more reasonably priced with nore cheese than almost chips. Breadsticks (3 in order) pepperoni stuffed fairly huge. Oddly side salad better than average. Stromboli was meh seemed a mish mash of multiple flavors that competed with each other (2 people tried it unimpressed). Another had mire chicken wings boneless hmmm no real strong support as exceptional. Another had house salad. Panini was enjoyed so met expectations. Shrimp burger 4/5 wouldn’t buy again. Service pretty good but typical barely kegal kid host and hostesses with very little fervor fir their jobs. but not rude. But certainly not exuberantly welcoming for sure. All in all a neighborhood joint with consistent food but not super great all around and a gazillion TV’s. Bar has a wraparound counter seating so if you’re a loner or just want to gaze at screens probably got a chance. We arrived at 1:30pm on a busy Saturday football game day and ny 2:30 the place was less rhan half full else prime time or near a game be prepared to wait with zero lobby seating.
The Ale sampler was good the potatoes skins, chicken fingers and fries pickles were good. My pork tenderloin sandwich was beer battered and got at suggestion of waitress. Wasn't a fan. Go with the breaded. Atmosphere was that of a chilis or applebees maybe even a red robin. We showed up on a Friday night a lil before 7 and it was packed. Had roughly a 25-30 min wait before I got the text message our table was ready. We had hit the bar before hand so the wait wasnt bad. Drinks were weak but bar was pretty busy so not gonna hold that against them. Band was great though. Dreamslice check them out. Overall, will return probably not on a Friday night though will take kids with us next time.
Dry.
Dry Chicken, Dry Wings, even the moist towelettes were dry. ????????‍♀️
We love the Allisonville Rd location, but this one isn’t up to par (it is quieter and more of a restaurant vibe) maybe it was on off night. I’m sure we’ll end up here again, I’ll order something different next time.
A Hoosier classic, the Ale Emporium delivers unparalleled pub food. I typically only eat dry rub wings, but I make an exception when I eat here. The Herman sauces are to die for (and you can buy bottles of them to use at home). My favorite is Hermanaki, but IMO you really can't go wrong with any of them. The pizzas are great too. Make sure you get the wings and if you're planning on watching any sporting event, go early. They get very busy so plan ahead and go hungry.
I really don’t get the hype. Nasty “boneless wings” and our waitress literally never checked on us not one single time after taking the order. And the margaritas were the nastiest margarita either of us have ever tried.and 64$ crazy
Me and my boyfriend came here and it was great! Our servers name was Deborah and she was amazing! She was very attentive and nice. Definitely will be back!
Jess was very nice and attentive ! The food was spot on and drinks were delicious !! I tried the gold rush sauce for my wings and man !!! I’m telling you the sauce has a great flavor and right amount of heat !!! I love spicy food and normally places just have hot flavorless options!! This was not it !! The flavor is there !! It’s just nice to go to a place where you feel welcome ☺️!
