Absolutely brilliant dinner - the food is OUTSTANDING! Crisp batter, HUGE and moist fish, perfect chips. We sat in and were very well looked after! 5*
The owners have made huge changes with massive investment at Alberts Fish Bar. Brand new equipment throughout and a fantastic new food addition, a Shawarma. I had this meat last night and it was amazing. Provided with a great salad and chips and a choice of sauces. Mr partner had cod, which was cooked to order as always and perfect. All food is cooked to order, so if it is busy, expect to wait. It is worth it and you won’t regret this fish bar. Great service always.
The nicest fish and chips, served with smiles and a warm welcome. Really delicious food, hot and fresh. We ate in and had better service than we have actually experienced at the Ritz ! Nothing too much trouble, and really friendly owner and staff who were especially kind to our children. What a find ! We will be back ! Thank you
Very golden crispy fried battered fish. Fishes are fresh, not overcooked and big in portions. Chips and curry sauce are nice too. I especially like their scampi as the prawns are generous.
One of the best fish and chips I think I've ever been to. The chips are crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. And I was able to buy a small portion, just right. The batter on the haddock is not too thick and it's very crispy. And the owner was very friendly, the fish and chips were cooked to order. First class.

My wife & I visited Alberts tonight and ordered haddock & chips and gluten free rock fish & chips to eat in. The knowledge of gluten free was outstanding and the overall service was really friendly. We walked past other fishshops in the rain because we knew we could trust Alberts for very good cooked to order gluten free fish. Only negative is we have to travel from Norwich. This was our 2nd visit and won't be the last. Highly recommend
