This is a must when visiting Cordova. Fast service and nearly dead when we stopped in for a drink. Cold beer on Tap, really good selection. Prices seem fair for the location and everything having to come by plane or boat.
How can you come all the way to Cordova and not have a drink at the Alaskan? This is the way a bar should be. They've got shuffleboard and pool tables. And one TV.
They have typical bar food. We decided to buy some food from the food truck next door. The Alaskan let's you eat their food at their bar.
The people are great. You'll leave with new friends.
My only knock on this place is limited draft beer.
Great atmosphere in this historic hotel and bar. Rustic and relaxed, it is a great place to hang out or spend the night. Cheap rooms, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Fryer food in the bar, and a selection of beers on tap. Free pool and shuffleboard. Liquor store as well. Great place!
Wow... don't stay here. Seriously. We showed up at about 11pm and were dead tired. My gf seriously would have rather slept in our rental car than stay here. The room REEKED of cigarette smoke and we could hear just about everything happening in the bar below us (we were on the second floor.) Old building, old furniture, old everything really. It was cheap though... Now if you're coming for the bar, well that's a different story.
Everything I imagined, wanted and more, will absolutely be a visiting when I come back for more skiing. Great staff, cold beer, crispy French fries, and dogs, what more can you ask for?
If ur pocket permits the cable tv/ prvt btrm upgrade, be sure to request rm 11 over rm 10, rm 11 has WAY space.
Great local bar right down town. Great fish and chips.
