I called in here for the first time on a recommendation, and I was glad I did. It's a really nice traditional family butcher and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The large stake and kidney pie was superb, packed with meat, and the pastry was perfect, so much better than anything you'll get in the supermarket. Some of the other pies and produce looked very tempting. I will definitely come back for more.

I have used this butcher for many years however this Easter I was disappointed in all the bakery scones were dry, steak and kidney pie not cooked enough grisly steak.
Bought a pork pie gala on Wednesday, just opened the rapped paper and tried cutting it, it is as hard as could be, turned it over and the bottom was burnt, I paid £15+ for this and even my dog carnt eat the pastry it's that hard and over cooked, I'm not happy as this has ruined it to serve for my guests, all that s eaterbell is the middle meat, very disappointed, went out my way to get one from Jones butcher, but a total waist of money

The meat is of the highest quality, the homemade selection is AMAZING, my fav is the steak and kidney pie ???? but don’t forget their gravy, that’s really special stuff!

Very good service, good quality food, just one thing. Thay need a hot oven for warming pie,s and sausage rolls. Excellent.
Bought 2 large apple pies today one was for my mum. Both pies were absolutely raw underneath. Just raw gooey pastry! We had to throw most of the pies in the bin. I won't be returning!
