Best KPortal Reviews

Simple food but absolutely delicious. I recommend the Katsudon which is their specialty. Also, ask them to walk you through the menu if you’re unsure. The dishes can be quite different within the same category.
On 13th December 2023, my wife and I visited this place for our lunch. A Japanese lady staff was very kind. All Japanese cuisines were very good. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!
New restaurant just opened in Bruntsfield - delicious food on the soft opening menu. Good range of choices. Disagree with the other reviews about the portions being small. I was very full after my order. I think the prices are justified for the quality. Will definitely be back! Already ate 3 of the gyoza before I remembered to take the picture that's how good they are ????
Had a delightful experience at the new Japanese restaurant! The Kitsune udon, pumpkin croquettes, and cold barley tea were all delicious and authentic.
The surprise was the cozy vibe, despite being a takeaway shop. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff made the visit enjoyable.
I'll definitely be coming back for more!????
A nice and clean restaurant hidden away in Bruntsfield. The food portions were good and tasted authentic. Worth the money I would say????????
Best, most authentic Japanese food I have had in Edinburgh so far. Incredibly reasonable prices too. Tried the katsu curry and the katsudon and both were incredible.
Really great food and a reasonable price especially vs others in Edinburgh.
Tama balls, gyoza and pumpkin croquettes were all really tasty and sauces great. But, they all take a back seat to the chicken and beef donburri’s. So well cooked and flavoursome and the chicken especially was out of this world
I really don’t recognise the food or service in the lower reviews. Everything was top notch cuisine.
Thank you Aki, you made our week!
I live nearby and I go there for take-away often.
OVERALL: They are very quick, the pricing is reasonable, and honestly, based on the quality of Japanese food that I've seen in Edinburgh so far in the 1 year I've been here, these guys are up there.
VIBE: It's a small place, they play Japanese music all the time, and it has very chill, wholesome vibes, although I wouldn't really say that it's worth eating there unless you're in a hurry and/or eating solo
Small Menu: The fact that the menu is also just a few things, that they do well, as opposed to a million things, all kinda mid, is nice and refreshing.
Recs: Try the Katsu Curry, it's pretty bomb; their miso soup is also quite legit.
