Best KPortal Reviews

I was wondering why everybody was going here instead of the place next door.  I went to place my order and it was packed.  There were people even waiting to be seated.   They had to servers/waitress and they were just busy tending to everyone.  It took a few minutes until someone took my order.
As I waited for my order,  I couldn't help but look around. They had the menu everywhere around the walls.   They had a small section in the back where you can sit and order sushi. While you're there, you can watch them make sushi. They were even conversating with the customers.   Usually some places just ignore you and make sushi.  Not here.
I was handed the bill and I was shocked at how affordable it was.   I figured we'll see with the taste test.
We ordered:
Amaebi roll - so fresh and sweet
Crunchy roll - my oh my this is definitely crunchy.  You gotta make sure to open wide for this one. The cream cheese gives it a perfect creamy balance with all the crunchiness
Dragon roll - Deeeeelicious, this one is made with the seaweed on the outside which is different from what I've had at other places
California roll -  I was surprised how something so simple tasted so good
Seaweed salad - I recommend this.  It goes with every item I ordered
Gyoza - Tasted flavorful and fresh. Like it was homemade. You didn't even need the ponzu sauce they provided
2 item dinner - double beef teriyaki.  The beef was so tender.  My husband couldn't stop eating it.
3 item dinner -  tonkatsu, momiji, short rib teriyaki.  Short rib, you can taste the char. Nothing I expected from a Japanese restaurant. Tonkatsu was crunchy, not overly battered. Monmiji was something different for me.  It was super tender.
Honestly,  I highly recommend this place.   It is reasonably priced and the food was AMAZING!!
Marco made my experience feel like home. This little Japanese spot is a nice getaway from the madness of the bay. The parking can get a little tricky but it's totally worth it. Inside is a small but cute dinning area. Their prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. My order came out in like 10 minutes which is decently quick for what I ordered. I had the chicken teriyaki and two sushi rolls..highly suggest the lion king roll! The food came out fresh and hot off the grill. Overall this place surprised me and it's worth checking out while catching a break from the traffic.
This is a local place. The interior is a bit run down and the service is so so. But the presentation and food is pretty good. I say check it out.
One of the last places in the bay area where you can get a bento box for $15, even for dinner. Insane food value for the price. Soup and salad were great, tempura was delicious. Chicken was a little dry, but for the price, I'm not complaining at all. Will definitely be back.
Nice quaint location with a decent experience in the area. Each meal is served with a pot of hot tea which was a nice touch. The food is good and lots of value for the price as well. I don't have anything overly negative to say about this place. The staff is friendly but comes off as shy. This shy behavior may come off as rude to some guests. The food is prepared quickly and I never had to wait for anything so their service was good overall.
I ordered the Deluxe Bento ????... There 2 things I didn’t care for, but doesn’t mean that it wasn’t good ????. It wasn’t for tasting pallet. Everything else was super delicious ????. Great atmosphere, tables greatly spaced apart, and great service! I definitely want to go back!
I love coming here for their bento dinner with a pot of hot tea. It’s the best bento box! They serve quickly and the food is delicious, fresh, and tasty.
Its our family's favorite place. The place is old, but the foods are fantastic. Great value and taste great. Authentic Japanese cuisine by Japanese American.
