You ever meet someone who you can just tell in your gut is trustworthy? The kind of trustworthy where you would feel completely comfortable sending your mom or sister there to have work done.
This is that place. My cars Rarely see a shop because I do 98% of the maintenance/work they need.
I've had some noise in my suspension lately and figured why not just drop it off and let Aiwa have a look. The last time I needed to consult a shop was with my previous vehicle almost a decade ago, but I remember taking it here and having an extremely positive experience, so I went back and can confirm that my memory served me correctly.

I made an appointment which was convenient for me and dropped my vehicle off. Lee called back shortly after to tell me what needed to be fixed. My vehicle was repaired and I was back behind the wheel a few hours later. The cost was reasonable & fair. I appreciate a good, reliable, honest mechanic. I will return for sure.
Aiwa Auto Repair is awesome! Today is my second time coming in to this shop to get my car fixed for a different issue. Just like last time, Aiwa Repair did great. Very communicative, prompt and a really good price. I've always felt like I'm treated nicely and felt like they are knowledgeable and honest. Today, they were able to fix my engine light issue. They promptly diagnosed it, fixed the problem and got me using the car again with peace of mind. Thank you Aiwa Repair! I highly recommend them.
I highly recommend Aiwa. I have been here twice. The first time I had all my spark plugs replaced. They charged me half what the Kia dealership quoted me. They were able to get me in within a couple of days. The work was finished before he said it would be. They were great! The second time I stopped in just to ask if they were able to repair a damaged undercarriage. He took my keys to check it out. Before I knew it he had it up on the jack and he repaired right then, less than 15 minutes. He didn’t charge me for the service. That is excellent customer service that promotes customer loyalty. I will definitely keep returning here for service in the future!
Lee and his team rock! They took care of my car with a clutch problem in about an hour and charged me with a deal price. Recommending them to friends and family.
I brought my truck in for a repair of the what I believe was the steering column and asked for an oil change as well. After some time he said the car was ready and mentioned what they had done but did not mention the oil change. I asked him about it and he said "oh I forgot I'll do it myself right now." He was acting jittery and moving around fast although there was only 1 other customer there and they had 3 techs there. His behavior was unusual. Within 5 minutes he came to front and said its ready. I thought to myself that was wat too fast because I used to do my own. I paid and was on on the freeway for 5 minutes before my truck started making loud noises, shaking violently and smoking. I pulled over as soon as I could. I called the shop and the same guy told me he would send a tow truck to bring it back to look at it. After 30 minutes he said it was ready and when I asked him what had happened he said they hadn't tightened some parts properly. I believe he emptied my oil without putting new oil in.
I had to come back as the repair for the original screeching I had brought it in for was not repaired properly. I called the GM Le and told him what happened and he said to bring it back in to fix the original steering column issue. He told me when I came in that he had to fire the guy who had not put oil in my truck and that he was causing problems for his customers.
I have reached out to Le via email and phone calls and told him that my truck smells like burned oil now ever since that incident. They have caused irreversible damage to my truck and put me at risk . I have asked Le to either rebuild my engine or pay how much it costs to get it replaced and he has not returned my emails or phone calls.
This is the 2nd time I went in for one repair and had another issue caused by them. Stay away from this place unless you want to leave with more issues and repairs on your hands than what you delivered your vehicle to them with.
Love this auto shop. They’re inexpensive, quick, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I definitely trust them and their services. These guys let me know that I didn’t need a service (when they could’ve gone ahead and done it and charged me quite a bit and I wouldn’t have known otherwise). You know it’s a good, honest, trustworthy shop when they tell you you don't need to spend more money on something!
