The interior was very beautiful, a great place to take pictures. The food was very very delicious, the drinks were really good as well- 8 of us had mocktails and we liked it! My whole group tried almost everything on the menu that wasn’t pork and it was a complete hit . The waiter wasn’t the friendliest but honestly, the good food made up for this so I will rate this 5 stars.
Extraordinary place.We had girls night out and it was the perfect spot for it. We were so impressed with the presentation of each drink. Our waitress Luisa was sweet and helpful. Food was very good quality. Interior of restaurant is also on top level.Amazing! Highly recommend ❤️
Aikana has a really cool concept of interior design and creates almost a foresty (tropical) atmosphere. I was so impressed the moment I walked inside the establishment. The service was really nice and our server was thorough. He gave us a lot of good recommendations on what to try and how much we need to order. The presentation for drinks were phenomenal and they tasted pretty great. However, I was a little disappointed with the food for the price we paid. The dry ice was a little too much because it was on every sing dish and drink we ordered. Definitely a cool place to check out.
first time at aikana did not disappoint. went with a large group so we got the chance to order most appetizers to taste. highly recommend the chorizo and the dumplings. the cocktails were all elaborate and fun flavors, especially good for those that like sweeter drinks. can’t say enough good things about the grilled octopus and pork belly. will definitely be returning soon.
Wonderful service from kind, personable staff. So much detail and thought put into the atmosphere, cocktails and dishes. The carne apache and octopus escabeche appetizers were our favorite, followed by the salmon tiradito. The extra crispy rice cake was perfect with the tender steak tartar, and the pickling broth over the octopus and veg was wonderfully unique. Duck breast main was rich and sweet, and the grouper was perfectly flaky with two vegetable cream sauces to compliment the lightness. An incredible experience from the first sip of cocktail to the final bite of dessert!
For a new restaurant, the food, interior design, and atmosphere has far exceeded my expectations. Each dish and each drink was uniquely prepared and all very very delicious. I highly recommend coming here for either a date night or a girl’s night out.
Loved my experience! We had the ceviche, octopus, and grouper, along with the spritz and espresso martini — everything was amazing. The best octopus and grouper I’ve ever had. Our server Joe was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu along with his customer service skills were 12/10. Thank you for everything! Can’t wait to come back!
Blew my expectations away, this is a phenomenal restaurant that should be Michelin starred! We ordered the wagyu arepas, vegan ceviche, scallops and mero fish. Forgot to take a photo of the last 2, but everything was amazing - the wagyu arepas was SO TENDER, everything tasted so balanced, not heavy, perfectly seasoned, creative and BEAUTIFUL presentation.
We were so impressed with the food that we also ordered 2 desserts - coffee meringue & raspberry sorbet and orange flan. Please never take the orange flan off the menu, it is literally the best flan I’ve ever tasted. So creamy, complex and not too sweet.
Cocktails were delicious and creative!
Service was impeccable, live music was a delight, entire atmosphere and even the bathrooms were nice too.
I’m planning to come back here to try the whole menu and recommending to all my friends. Definitely one of the top 10 restaurants in Chicago!
